Welcome to the 2015 GI:Joe Resurgence Virtual Trading Card Thread.
Rather than just dump everything into this thread, I thought I'd try something different. Everyone who participated in
the initial Resurgence II thread during the month of July will receive a "blind pack" of 1-4 unique cards from this series. You're invited to "trade" your cards (just repost the images PM'ed to you as replies here), and let's see how quickly we can build a complete deck of all 60 cards!
As a little incentive, I've got 5 cards in my stash, and for every 11 unique cards posted in the thread, I'll add one. Additionally, when we complete the series, I'll share a .pdf with all the fronts and backs, as well as add some logos I went ahead and remade for the project in scale-able vector format to the file repository (the new black and gold style star logo, the classic Steel Brigade patch, and the hooded dreadnok skull logo!).
It was a lot of fun to work on the catalogs for Resurgence, and I was trying to think of a way to show my appreciation to PHX Custom for presenting another great year of this project. I LOVE the
old 90's Marvel Universe cards, and have thought about rebuilding that template for a long time ('91 was the year I got into them and remains my favorite design for nostalgia's sake) and Resurgence II seemed like a manageable sized project to put into that format.
Personally, I'm really pleased with how these came out and want to show them off a little, but I also want to encourage PHX Customs to keep churning out work this fun and inspirational, as well as encourage everyone else to keep giving feedback in the critique forum.
So, let's see how quickly we can get all 60 cards revealed. Just save the images in your PM and re-attach them here. Gonna start sending PMs now, should have them all out shortly!
