I don't normally post in this thread, but recently I received something of interest that I thought I would share:
A couple weeks ago, Erik Araña showcased his GI Joe Resolute customs and display, which was a stacked Ultarama setup, but missing one level. I had an extra level. He had a gallery of customs for sale, and let me pick one for trade. There were three that really caught my eye, but the one I was going to steal the recipe for and make myself won out in the end: 1st Appearance Serpentor.

As an added bonus, Erik send me copies of his concept sketches, as well as his backstory in making the custom, which he graciously allowed me to share with joecustoms.com:
Erik Araña wrote:
My story is pretty simple. I was never happy with the 25th Serpentor figures. I feel they were a missed opportunity in design. I always loved his look in the first appearance in the comics. If I could redesign him I would make him shirtless and covered in tattoos that all refer to his genetic make up in some way. I also would make him big like Roadblock. The other thing I hate about the 25th is that his cowl is two pieces. I always hated that (even as a kid) and think it just looks cooler as one piece like in the comics.
... here's some concept art of him I was working on a while back for a pitch.
