I dunno why they've burnt your good will, Hyppy. It's just a confusing announcement of what amounts to packaging text changes. So long as the product is good and comes as promised, everything else is irrelevant, imho.

If they get around to doing modern-articced Adventure People, I'd be very into that. I suggested they start with a male+ female News Crew in coverall jumpsuits. Such characters would have a lot of use in Joe and MU play scenes, and be useful bucks for a lot of other background civilian characters.

wasn't it just captain action at one point and going to be part of the eagle force, that's what I was hoping for. the captain and vehicle prototypes they had been showing I was interested in. I'm not so much into 5 or 6 figures that look like they same guy in different colors with only different heads. but I would be all for an updated fisher price adventure people line, would love the xray man and women and astronaut.

First it was a full Captain Action line. Dr. Evil, Kid Action, etc.

Then it was Captain Action and Eagle Force

Then it was Captain Action and also some public domain characters on Captain Action palette swaps.

Oops, hold on, one of those public domain characters has a rights issue.

And now it's Captain Action and his Public Domain friends but with the Adventure People logo plastered over it and with the Remco brand stuck on for some reason.

I get that planning and designing a toyline is a challenge, but when you change your stated goal/plans this many times, all in public, it really makes me skeptical that you'll deliver, and if you do deliver, that it'll be quality and as promised. It just seems like they're throwing stuff out to see what sticks, and when that fails, they pile on some more. If it'd had been announced as what it currently is I'd have been confused by what they were doing, but not wary of the project, watching all this unfold over the space of a year or so just makes it seem like they have no friggin' clue what they're doing.

from what I understand, it's NOT an update of the beloved Fisher Price Adventure people, but something else entirely. It would have been better if they called it 'Adventuring' People.

That being said, can you just imagine how epic a modern update to the real Fisher Price Adventure People (and sets/vehicles/animals) would be?

From everything they're showing/saying, that's it exactly.

This has zero to do with the Adventure People.

If only there was a classic toy character, one who was designed from the start as a way to get kids toys of characters from multiple properties via the use of costumes and disguises. Seems like he'd be an *ideal* choice to use to brand this line. If only something like that existed.

agreed - but yeah the sets/vehicles/animals would be key.

That said, it's not all that different from the civilian based/AT kind of line we've all been pushing for for years now.

The Facebook responses are vague. Is it a name swipe only? Was there another "Adventure People" at some point?

I have zero interest in Captain Action but FP Adventure People? I'd be on board.
