This is probably old news, but I was watching NCIS on USA tonight, and at one point, this female agent hands her ID to one of the NCIS personnel, and it's read aloud, "Special Agent -- Courtney Kreiger?"

Aw, come ON -- that can't have been a coincidence!

Especially since one of the people they're investigating is a large African-American male named -- Marvin Hinton.

Yup, there are a bunch of GI Joe easter eggs in that episode. Grunt - Robert Graves - is also mentioned as are a few others.

Yep, that one just came up. And the Hinton character used the alias of Frederick LeClaire. Daniel LeClaire is, of course, Recondo. If there were any others, I missed them.

Someone else mentioned had the last name of Barney -- Grand Slam, if I'm correct.

And a tattoo artist named Blaine Parker is mentioned -- Mainframe.

I can't help laughing every time one of these serious people says "Marvin Hinton" or whatever. I wonder if any of them knew the history of the names.

(And if that wasn't enough, they just ran a commercial for G.I. Joe: Retaliation.) :rotfl:

EDIT -- And, okay, right at the very end of the episode, someone named "Shannon O'Hara" is mentioned. Close enough to "Shana M. O'Hara", and I'm sure I don't have to explain who THAT is. :-D ;-)

Maybe, but I doubt it. I think I'd've remembered this, but it's possible. NCIS has been around so long -- even in reruns on USA -- that it's darn near impossible to remember them all.

Thank you, Jay, I didn't think it had been me. I don't think I've ever seen this particular episode before, because as soon as I heard "Courtney Kreiger" it stopped me cold. I'd've remembered that. And six years ago is likely when the episode first aired.

not the same but I have been watching this izombie show, and there is a female fbi agent on a few recent episodes named Dale Bozzio. and I cant not think it has nothing to do with Dale Bozzio who was the singer for the 80s new wave band missing persons, and also recorded a solo album on princes label.
