Got a gift card to TRU, went looking for anything good, but the leftovers were abysmal. The online sales seemed toasty, but much of what I wanted said 'ship to store' instead of home, and our store is well, not that trustworthy.

Decided to snag two Brick Warriors packs, and scored the harpy armor, and a fantasy pack with a helmet, shield, and a crossbow which is nice enough to b given to one of my Drowgirl customs. Snagged the Reaction Nightmare Before Christmas Devil, purely to have some selfie fun with. Finished off the card with two blind packs of Game of Thrones minifigures. Scored John Snow and the Khaleesi. I must say, for something this size, a bit smaller than 1:24 scale, details aren't bad. They might work with some MageKnight or D&D miniatures for sure. Wild that there is some articulation to them.

Had to go to our year round Xmas store to approach the heart wrenching subject of my late mum on law's estate of a massive Dean Griff Mice collection, and it felt heavy just being in the store since it was her favorite haunt.
While we were there the Mrs got me a Reaction Vina to customize and I found a Davros Xmas ornament that will go perfect with the current 3.75 fare of Dr Who figures. They had some of the toys there surprisingly, so I sight measured the buggers.

Also found a cheap set of Fontanini flickering campsite logs'n'flame. For using in my diorama hearths.

How much was the Davros?

Any chance of a comparison pic with a Doctor Who figure?

The ornament was $7.65 pre tax, and while I do not have any Dr Who un-boxed and stored away in storage, I did measure him with the Daleks as well as the Capaldi Dr they had with the ornaments and he was their scale. His orbs on the chair are identical to the ones on the Dalek in size and circumference. Unlike most ornaments that are made of resin or heavier plastic, he is polystyrene just like the Underground Toys Daleks and lightweight. Believe me, he wasn't coming home if he looked too big or too small. I was just shocked to see actual 3.75 Dr Who on pegs in a non toy store to make the comparison. This is a year round Xmas store selling trees, terrain, ornaments, collectibles, lights, statues, and brick'a'brac. Of the Daleks they had, there was a classic, asylum, and an assault few. Even when I got home, I stood a MU gal next to him, and like the show, she'd have to bend slightly to whisper in his ear.

My extremely modest xmas toy haul: A collector friend gave me the 'Mechagodzilla' from the most recent Imaginext blind bag series and my awesome wife totally surprised me with the Bandai Soul of Chogokin GX-08 (40th) Aflodai A (40th Anniversary Aphrodite Ace).

I've got a strong suspicion (hope?) that my wife helped the InLaws to get the GX-01R(40th) Mazinger Z to go with the Aflodai. Fingers crossed.

Any haul I had this year was vicariously enjoyed through the kids toys. App controlled BB-8, animal planet fire breathing dragon, slot car track(from last Xmas with a spot finally cleared to set it up).

Just ordered the 3 DC Multiverse 2-packs off of Amazon. 2 at $6.36 each and one at $8.67. Grabbed another Marvel Black Cat and the Black Widow hardcover book to get free shipping.

I really like that camelcamelcamel price checker to track what the lowest price is...

Well I didn't get any toys or toy related goods for Christmas but I did get a Target giftcard, which I used today to buy clearance Xmas goods, a couple books, a wicked portfolio of McQuarrie artwork from ROTJ, a couple shirts, some backpacking snacks, and oh yeah a brand new 15" Macbook Pro.

Holy hell yes this thing is like going from a tricycle to a Lamborghini.

My old comp was 10+ years old and was worthlessly slow, apparently so much so that my wife got tired of hearing me yell at my computer.

Didn't pick it up, but FYI, the Target ML three pack of Ultron, Hulk and white Vision is marked down to $25 now.

My Target's shelf was still full of those on the 23rd for full price. It made me wonder if they just put them out because I haven't seen them before then. Talk about a missed Christmas selling opportunity!

I got the Transformers Devastation game, root beer making kit, and a Walmart gift card.

Yeah, this was the first time I'd seen them, period. It was weird. There were tons of them, too. I'd have picked it up, but I have the BAF Ultron (by the way, the Ultron BAF wave was also 50% off).

We had a very light Xmas exchange, she getting a small Google Play card to get things for her tablet gaming. I received a handful of the MacFarlane Game of Thrones blister packs. Of the five packs, got one dragon, two Tyrion and another Khaleesi. Don't really know what I'll do with them. They're too small for 1:24 Armies of Middle Earth, and too big for D&D Miniatures main humanoids. I have a few full castles in their scale, passable. They're actually closer to Dreamblade miniatures in scale. I noticed they are in scale with the Walking Dead figures, so if I need undead or corpses, I know where to go.

I'm still waiting for FedEx to get me the GIJCC Black Friday Zombie Initiative set I bought myself for Xmas, it's been sitting for weeks at a local distribution center. If you ever use fedex around Christmas, I guess spend the extra money for the 2 day, because they apparently ignore everything else when they are busy.

My son was given a Boba Fett shower puff or poof or watever they are called by one of his Grandmothers as a stocking stuffer. And that is just like it sounds. Big Boba Fett head with a shower puff attached to the bottom.

The highlights of my Christmas bounty are Lego Dimensions along the Doctor Who pack and some TRU gift cards.

Dimensions like most Lego games is pretty fun. Brake everything, collect golden pegs and solve puzzles plus they kept the building instructions inside the game instead of giving you a booklet so when it's time to build something major in the game like the Tardis or the Batmobile, you actually have to build them in real life as well which I thought was pretty cool. The Toy Pad which allows you to add characters and vehicles to your team is also used during some mini games where you have to move your character around the pad to give your on screen character more options.

When you don't have an actual figure that can perform certain special actions like using fire or throwing water, the game allows you to "rent a hero" which give you access to a ghost of that character for 30 seconds (just enough time to perform a specific task) at the cost of some of the pegs you collected.

Of course now that I've started the game, I'm very tempted to get more figure packs.

I got some of those Voice chair ornaments too. Whoever is selling those must be puzzled that they are going out in groups of 6 and 12.

Found a non-derpy Rey and a Kylo at Target after finally deciding that I wanted 6" figs from the new flick. Also got these cool little Bandai flame effects from Amazon today.

Edit: also grabbed the Voice chairs last week.
