I like this idea!

So weird twist with this.

BBTS has now stepped up to help with this KS and are offering these up for Pre-Order. They will include the pre-ordered amount into the KS pledge to help reach the goal.

BBTS ZICA Adventure People pre-order

So if you wanted to help getting these produced but don't like KS you now have a way to do so.

Two months. Given that it started right after the holidays, they wanted to give as many people as possible a chance to join in.

So, Zica posted this to the KS comments:
Thanks for your support! We need to sell approximately 435 sets (4 figures) to meet the funding goal. If there's not enough interest to sell that many sets with what's already offered I feel like the market just isn't there for these figures, which is unfortunate.

I think this is some evasive BS, looking for an excuse for when this likely fails to fund. There's been *numerous* calls for something more than what amounts to repaints of one figure with three heads and two sets of weapons. An armybuilder, the other figures we were teased with so long ago, the car... anything more than a lazy effort.

I was really pulling for this in theory and to the point of going in onthe very cool-looking Capt Evil, but every time Zica adds more input I lose more faith in this and them.

They probably looki at the various board game projects which got funded in 30 minutes and wonder why it's not the same with their project...

The lack of variety in this campaign probably is their biggest obstacle.
Add a generic hooded/masked head to Captain Evil to open up the possibilities of evil minions and people will want more than one.

with this and that failed second wave of skeleton warriors, I'm worried these lackluster kickstarters failing is just going to make our scale look like a bad idea to others and further the problem we are having with everyone trying to force us into 6" collecting.

I'm not too worried about it. There were still quite a few 1/18 scale Kickstarter projects, that funded pretty easily.

Boss Fight Studio, Marauder Task Force, Marauder Valkyries, Shark Hunter creature thing, Legends of Cthulhu, I am Elemental... and those are just the ones that come to mind at the moment.

Yeah, it seems obvious to me that what this and the GrimSkull campaigns have in common is a lack of forethought. Both had fairly high fundage amounts with a lack of inspired repaints. I still don't understand why an Evil clone by giving the gray CA CE's blue skin isn't feasible, since all it'd require is a reallocation of paint/plastics already priced out and not the addition of anything new (in the assumption there's not a big price diff between Caucasian and blue paint/plastic).

October Toys never gave me the impression GrimSkull failed because of the fans, like the Zica post above gives me.

They just upgraded the All In to a Super All In that now includes the purple and the grey color scheme figures. They were add ons before. That helps a little. Not a lot. But a little for people who didn't see the value of going all in before.

I'd keep drumming on that alternate version of Captain Evil. Maybe that will get him to work something like that out with the factory like he was able to with the 2 variants of Captain Action.

He did have 2 different versions of Captain Evil designed at one point.

One with a red body and one with a blue body.

Yeah, the All-In change is a free $50 worth of product, but it's still 3 versions of one guy and his two friends against one bad guy.

I like the figures but I can get a lot of fodder for $100 and in these tight times I gotta spend wisely

Bam. I like it, but I still don't see how this is cheaper than my idea.
