I'm sure you've already thought of this since it's so obvious, but a couple of them WWII CoD dudes should be easy to make into Thunderbolt Ross and Col Talbot. And once Uhura's out she'd make a nice skirt-wearing base for Betsy, with maybe some parts-swapping from the TMNT April.

:wow:

Been a while since I've used that Joemoticon. I thought that was a solid Hulk custom...until I saw the scale. I hone back 3 times to see any signs of it being photoshopped. That is awesome work at any scale, but at thst scale it pretty gosh darn special.

Btw I actually meant the last 3 images in the previous page. The retro sci fi purple furry alien is a nice changel of pace from all of the Batman and " popular comic book hero" customs I see more often than not .

Definitely planning more jaunts into the Marvel Universe, but I'm still on the fence about how to go about it... I like the more monstrous Hulk, with less human proportions, so he towers over everyone. I'd have to make "regular" people/heroes about 1"-1.5" to do that, but super-articulated fodder at that scale is hard to find.

Also been really into Kirby's monsters & lesser-known villains, so it could just end up a 2" scale Hulk kaiju series...

I've been experimenting with the new MB bodies and extending limbs. The result is slightly taller than Hulk, but looks pretty proportional. 'Til I decide on a uniform style & height, I've got customs that are both 2" and 2.5"-2.75"

Hulk is the only Marvel piece I've done at this scale so far, but it won't be that way for long.

Pluv! Thank you man!

The reaction to the height comparison shot has been phenomenal. I knew if I didn't have that scale shot, nobody would believe that Hulk's so tiny.

Here's a WIP shot with more stuff for scale:

Thank you sir!

I get what you mean. Recently it's been an endless deluge of Deadpool customs, mainly made to post on Ebay and make a quick buck. I'm not hating. Totally get how this hobby could turn into a serious revenue stream and want great talent to make the money... but dude, really? Who wants to go to a website and see page after page of just Deadpool?

The aliens are for a larger sci-fi project I've been working on for about a year. The main characters have been produced, but now I'm planning a bunch of "cantina alien"-types for fun and to fill out the scenes. Those are gonna be Megabloks scale, too, but that's down the road a little bit.

MegaMondays are gonna be locked down for the next few months, if all goes according to plan.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten about my Gotham's Most Wanted/Batman universe. Plans have just gotten... smaller...

You got a name or link to the original Hulk PVC? I'd love to copy this for either 'Hulk got shrunk' or 'Franklin Richards has a My Hulky teddy bear toy' play.

The figurine was from the discontinued Handful of Heroes line, but it's been brought back as Marvel 500. I don't remember if this specific figure was re-released, but they for sure have other Hulks.

My original idea was to recreate the Hulk cover where he was miniaturized by Psyclops, but didn't have the time for THAT custom and make it in time for Monday 2/1.

Still kicking around the idea. Could happen at some point.

Nice job! Love seeing more people doing MB scale customs! That Hulk is simply beautiful. And I missed this thread the first time, but the other stuff is nice too. That little yellow robot reminds me of the ones that came in the astronauts and aliens sets (like little green army men) when I was a kid. Looks great.

Thank you MarkM!

I've been enjoying your MB GI JOE customs, and have been mulling dipping my toe in that universe. As far as I got was virtual customs made via the digital Megabloks Call of Duty figure builder. Was pretty psyched by the digital mock-ups.

Working in this scale is just... FUN!

I haven't had this much of a blast customizing in 10+ years.

For the customizers that haven't tried them out yet, check out the virtual figure generator on the main Call of Duty site:

https://collectors.megabloks.com/en-us/call-of-duty

Toys R Us runs sales periodically, so you can get them on the cheap and mess around for very little investment.

After you mentioned that in our PM exchange i looked up the Marvel 500 line as i'm a mini figure collector and am familiar with the Handful of Heroes line. Just FYI ...despite the fact that i love good micro scale fodder the Marvel 500 line is distinct from the HOH line. Marvel 500 is slightly bigger and more roboust and has a different sculpting aesthetic (think animated). Outside of Captain Americas head, Falcons Head and CA's shield and MAYBE the new Hulk i didn't see anything worth buying for fodder (most of it made me make the gas face). My point: Handful of Heroes is the line to choose from (so far) if you need Marvel micro fodder. Marvel 500 isn't a straight re release.

With that said I wondered if HOH had fodder that could be used on Mega Bloks figures in the past but it looked to small and i never picked any up. Your confirmation that the HULK is indeed HOH means it's time to look over the line again.

Absolutely right-on about Marvel 500 not being a straight-up re-release of Handful of Heroes.

While looking at the Marvel 500 stuff, I noticed it was a mix of existing HoH sculpts and newer, more cartoony/less detailed figurines. For the older stuff, looks like Ebay & Amazon are the way to go to pick 'em up.

Howdy!

Having some technical difficulties, but I wanted to get my entry for MegaMonday in!

More to come!

EDIT:

So it looks like my phone/camera may have finally bitten the big one, midway through my photoshoot. Gonna try to have the pics up ASAP… oh boy...

Not to over look the impressive Hellboy you have here but i cant help but notice that the body reminds me a LOT of Atomic Robo.

So you know....wave your magic customizing wand ...:D

Subdued but none the less excellent work on Hellboy.
