Lt Adam Power was Operations Chief assigned to the Federation starship USS Ascendant in 2833 when he was dispatched to the surface of an unexplored world in the Barlowe trinary system. Upon finding a relic in ruins of what appeared to be a religious complex similar to Stonehenge back on Earth, or Shra Tarsaak on Andoria, a glowing red gem erupted from a clay cask and embedded itself in Lt Power's forehead.

Stunned into unconsciousness and beamed back aboard ship, Power awoke three days later to find his skin had turned blue, his eyes glowed red in synchrony with the gem, and a pair of 'gill slits' appeared in each of his pectoral muscles. Dr Refka explained that the trauma somehow brought some latent Kree genes in his background to the fore, causing the blue skin; but the other issues were beyond his ken.

Although he was discharged from Sick Bay, he wasn't returned to active duty due to the mystery of the gem and diagnostic observations were continued by sensors in his quarters. Soon, those sensors overloaded inexplicably although the ship's main sensors detected surges of an unknown radiation emanating from within the ship, and it was quickly suspected to be the gem. Captain Velark ordered Dr Refka to determine if the gem could be removed, but Lt Power had attained telekinesis by the time Security personnel were ordered to escort him back to Sick Bay.

Over the course of the next two hours, ship's logs relate that Lt Power's psychic abilities quickly increased and the ship and her personnel were endangered and ultimately destroyed as Power futilely tried to master and contain the radiation surges.

Tumbling into the void, Power survived and eventually managed to aim the surges to bring him into proximity of Barlowe IV, where he eventually de-orbited and landed.

By the time the USS Exeter arrived to investigate the Ascendant's disappearance and managed to recover the logs floating in the debris, Power had become known as 'Lord' Power and was hailed as a hero by the natives of Barlowe IV, resisting the warlord Arkus and his minions.

Upon relating his side of events to the Exeter's Captain Stewart, it was decided that Power would be honorably decommissioned from Starfleet but remain in diplomatic contact with the Federation, who would be glad to aid in his fight against Arkus. Later findings by Federation historians determined that the gem embedded in Power's forehead was likely the same gem that once composed a part of the mythical Infinity Gauntlet, but how it came to reside on Barlowe IV or why it responded to Power remain unknown.

Power here is a bash of the 4H Lord Power onto the gray HACK buck to get full articulation.

I cut the HACK thigh in half and fitted the 4H thigh in between the ball hip and double knee, and moved the kneepad from the bottom of the thigh to its proper location at the top of the calf so it can perform its function cushioning the tibial foramen when he's kneeling. I pasted the HACK forearm onto the 4H elbow piece as I thought the 4H forearm is too short (especially after the legs got longer), and inserted the HACK ab-pin into the 4H chest, and the HACK neck barbell into the 4H neck (although it doesn't really add much more range of motion and creates a gap due to the way I did it). I cut the ankle joint out of the feet and flipped them to get rocker ankles.

I kept the original paintjob aside from changing the veins from red to blue as I thought they distracted from the chest gills, and added the two control knobs to the belt of his Starfleet environmental suit.

Wow. I probably would have waited for an orange or yellow blank but the engineering and sculpting on this are flawless.

Thanks, gents. Aside from Pythona, I'm strangely bereft of ideas of specific uses for the various colors of the Bucks. I'm holding onto my Orangie to compare him to the coming Red Buck to see which would be best for FireLord, but other than that it's all just a big empty Blank space in my head.

Wow, that is super work. I'm amazed at how much work and patience goes into something like this.

Thanks, gents. It wasn't too terribly difficult, and as usual the painting was the biggest hurdle for me since it's SOOOOO BOOOOORING.

He looks great AV. Awesome job merging the two figures into a great custom. The mods done to join them are impressive. Without the WIP pic I would not have been able to tell where one figure started and the other ended. Nice job all around.

Most impressive... Most impressive indeed! Looks like a lot of work to make this figure what you wanted him to be.
