I agree with AV about the white on the head. I get it, part of the bone protrusions. I just think you're better off leaving that aspect out. More classic abomination and less Doomsday ripoff.

Thanks for the thoughts on the Abomination. I went back and took the white off the face and head. Now I need to work on some shorts for him.

In the meantime, though, wanted to share a project that's been percolating for a long time:

The Blob we got from the Wolverine movie was useless. Not only undersized but under-articulated. And the Marvel Legends Blob, while an excellent figure, is just a little too big for use with my Universe-scale heroes. The above figure represents an unholy marriage between a 90s-era Toybiz Blob (body, head and various internal connectors from the arms and legs), a Jakks King Kong Bundy figure (arms, legs and thighs) and a Fantastic Four movie Thing (boots). He clocks in at just about 5-and-a-half inches, which is pretty much right where I wanted him to fit with the other members of my 90s-era cartoon brotherhood:

His face is still a little shiny (probably from all that ham), so I'll be dulling that up. But what do you guys think?

The only way to make him better would be to add a waist swivel either under his moobs or at the yellow beltline (swivel only as he sure ain't gonna do any sit-ups, lol).

Also, adding in some Chee-tos stains.

This pretty much sums up the way I feel about it. I could visualize what needed to be done clearly enough but, once I had all the intact elements laid out on the bench the idea of actually making it happen was pretty darned daunting.

My wife (a former engineer) peeked over my shoulder a few times and I think the most fun part of the project was watching her expression change from disbelief to exasperation to amusement to genuine appreciation for what I wasw doing.

That made it worthwhile even before I realized how pleased I was going to be with the end result.

I am always in awe of the dedication it takes to create something like this. I don't have what it takes to complete a custom project like this.
That's an incredible custom!

Also, it looks like he held up his turkey leg to shield himself from an attack from Wolverine!

Ha! Hadn't noticed that before. I just assumed it was a ham and those were impressions from the plastic netting they used to come in. But I can totally see Blob using it to block claw swipes between bites.
