That Slaughter is one of my favorites. It got played with heavily. My weapon of choice for him was the machine gun from Tundra Ranger Stalker's Kayak.

His height become obvious when forming the GI Joe vs Cobra basketball league (don't judge me).

1985 Silver Mirage Profile:

Great look but poor quality jades my view of this vehicle.

This week's profile is a throwback to G.I. Joe's first 30th Anniversary with a look at the 1994 Action Marine figure:

This week I look at the Funskool Blaster figure.

http://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/ ... aster.html

Blaster is an old favorite and the extra Funskool gear is a nice touch that makes this version even better.

Also, I tried something new where the front page has preview panes instead of the full profiles. It's smaller and easier to navigate. But, you lose the pictures and the easy scroll. Any feedback as to which look you prefer is appreciated.

This week's review is the 1997 Baroness figure:

http://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/ ... oness.html

She's a great "Cobra" version of the figure and a worthy repaint of a classic mold.

This week I review the 1991 Eco Warriors Flint figure:

http://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/ ... flint.html

It's a strong sculpt, but the colors leave something to be desired. I would have liked a version painted orange and white, though.

I did not like this Version of Flint for Flint. I kept his helmet on him. I didn't to appreciate the figure until they reused it with the Desert Striker. Doing a side by side of those two is quite the contrast. The eye burning green vs the blander sepia earth tones.

This week I look at the 1998 Torpedo figure:

http://forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/ ... rpedo.html

He's got convention level paint applications and a a great update of a mold that was poorly colored the first two times around. The Navy Seal pack in general was something I enjoyed, though it was pretty unpopular then just like it's unpopular today.

Rarities month continues. This week will feature the Rubiplas exclusives from Venezuela, some alternate Convention figures and some of the hard to find unproduced figures from the 2000's.

Rarities month kicks into high gear in the final 1/3. Today, we have the rarest figures of them all, the 1998 Chocolate Chip Desert Figures of Outback, Pathfinder and Dial Tone:

Wish we had gotten these at retail.

Gosh I love that Outback. I know the chocolate chip camo doesn't work that well as camo, but it looks awesome especially on toys.

I'd have gladly traded either the Navy Seal pack or even the Oktober Guard pack in 1998 to get these three figures. I still can't believe they didn't at least use the paint masks on later releases. Image a Chocolate Chip Big Brawler in 2001.
