I have no plans to buy a case. I am going to go back to the store my wife found them at (it is 6 blocks from our house) and see if they have any more. I will let you know what I find.

I went back to the $1 store my wife got the skeletal animals for me from and bought the last 3 packs they had.

I lucked out and 1 of the 3 sets was the set with 3 different skeletons than I had already gotten. What I initially thought to be a gator based on the pic I found online turned out to be some form of prehistoric whale (this is the weakest of the models, detail wise).

The snake looks less like a skeletal snake and more like some kind of segmented armored alien snake. I will be removing the skull and adding a different head to make it an alien snake in a diorama. The skull will be used as well in a different diorama.

The parrot is the best of the 3. The sculpting is really well done and this one does the best job (along with the snake) of hiding the hole where the plastic was injected into the mold. The other models have the injection hole in the center of their ribcages ruining the detail there but the parrot has it on the bottom of its perch.

I eventually hope to score some more of these sets.

Been a few good weeks, forgot to take pics. These are the big highlights.

I received packages from Cap and drbindy today containing all of the awesomeness pictured below!









The biggest surprise were the 2 vintage "Dragonheart" dragons in the box from Eric. I had these guys (and the larger Griffon Dragon and the electronic supersized ultimate Draco) almost 2 decades ago but they were lost in one move or another. I was actively looking for them again at NYCC and local toy shows/shops last year but gave up hope of ever having them again so imagine the joy I experienced when I pulled them out of the bubble wrap! Maybe someday I will reacquire the other 2 as well.

I got tons of great figures, dragons, accessories and diorama pieces today and I still have at least 3 more trade packages on their way to me that will contain even more customizing awesomeness!

Another $1 store score!



A few months back, I got a trade package from Dark Jedi containing, in addition to the items we traded on, an assortment of small dragons. The adult dragons were molds I already had from a pair of polybags I had gotten from a local $1 store, but the dragon hatchlings breaking out of their shells were new and awesome. After all of this time, I lucked upon several packs of dragons with the hatchlings included. I found these at the same store I had gotten the polybags from last year. The hatchlings were worth the $1 a package by themselves. The hatchlings need painting, but the sculpts are pretty far above dollar store quality.



They had 20 packs but I only picked up 10 for now. When I have some more "fun money", I will swing by the $1 store again and get the other 10 if they are still there.

Met up with the gang in Loveland and Hypno hooked me up with a Sinestro/Dex-starr/Arkillo/Black Hand 4-pack that he set aside me a while back. Then when everyone got in line to finally get their exclusives, I bailed and went back home (returning Saturday) and found a couple of packages waiting for me.

Finally found the Micro Machines Space Pursuit set with the Force Awakens Han Solo mini figure.

I went to Comicpalooza yday with Liftoff and picked up a couple MU Green Goblins, cat Beast, and TeamX Wolverine for fodder; plus the JazWares Liu Kang, a RAH EarthQuake (for only $5!), and the McFarlane Monsters Mummy set.

I also picked up memories of seeing Carl Weathers, Charlie Hunnam, and all but Lance Henrikson of the Aliens cast. And lotsa juicy cosplay bootie.
