Whee! He's pretty much done. I might go a bit more invasive on the backpack later on, to install a side-mount, caseless rocket rig like his RAH version has, but the smaller mortar rockets are growing on me.

Without his gear, he's got a Grunt vibe going on. I decided not to color the Leatherneck hair as the fit of the helmet's a little tight.

All the gear is removable, and for right now at least, the hose is not glued into the pack to allow for poseability. The heavier conduit hose I figure allows for both pods to be controlled by the same joystick.

And lastly, a comparison of 25th to v1.

I really like it excpet for the brightness (if that is the right word) of the grey kind of jumps right out at you. maybe something more subdued?

Sorry mid, first I want to say that it's some great work. The paint, parts and missile system are great.

But then I gotta say... It looks like he's wearing a kids costume of fast draw. One of those drugstore light plastic things circa '87, over his regular clothes...

If I were to suggest an alternative, I'd say go to the sewing asile, and pick up rubber dimpled thimbles, and cut and shape them to size as rubber fitted armor.

Or leave it as is. It's still pretty damned good.

- R

looks pretty cool, the pads are sorta weird looking and could be darker as well since the green jump suit is quite dark, like x said the backpack is way cool, you shoud be proud of him though and you're the 1st to make FD that I know of :-D

Except for the pads (which aren't altogether bad) I like the concept man, it came out nicely.

I can see the case for darker pads, but I chose the color based on the filecard (here at yojoe.com). I can't say that going over them again with the bent paper clip to make the regularly-sized dimples excites me a whole lot. :-} However, Raps, I will go out looking for the thimbles you mention; if I can glue them atop the pads I already have, that might be a good option.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
