I'm in for the Modern captain Eagle and upped it $23 to get the General Brown. I want to see the build and I like those two enough to want to keep them as is and not use them for fodder.

It is set up where everything is obtainable. I don't exactly fully know the way Bill has it set, but I THINK you can get the gold Captain Eagle and add on Cat when/if he get unlocked. Even if not, you can always get someone who is doing an all in to pick up the figures. There's options if you do want the figures.

Right now, to me looking at the description, it seems that gold Cat is unlocked, but he is not on the a la carte list, so it looks like he only comes with the all in package.

Yeah it's not exactly listed clear. This was the answer he gave someone on the comment section - The gold Cat figure will only be available for this Kickstarter. He is the exclusive figure. Yes, the stretch goals will be available as ADD ONs once they are unlocked...although we might not make them available until the BackerKit check out process once we are funded...we're still trying to figure that out.

Seems pretty clear to me he's All-In only as he's listed that way repeatedly.

If the Cat in gold was available as an add on it would mean another $23 from me. But there's no way I can afford to go all in just to get him.

Just curious what's so special about The Cat? A lot of people seem pretty adamant about wanting that character, but I can't see what makes him so different. Could someone enlighten me?

some of us are actually interested in the gold figures, because that's what makes it eagle fore to us. there are only 2 gold figures, but one of them is Cat and he is only available if you do an all in pledge.
I cant really afford that much, and I'm honestly only interested in about a 3rd of the characters anyway. personally I don't find any of the army builder figures interesting.

whats going on for me right now is the difference between pledging for the 6 figures I want, 9 if everything is unlocked. or ONLY pledging for the gold captain eagle and waiting to see what the gold Cat will cost me later on when people start ebaying them.

Pretty much what newwavepop said. There are only 3 figures that are vintage style - Capt Eagle, Fireball and the Cat. The last one is the all in exclusive. That is the part that I have a problem with. Regardless, life goes on.

I bit the bullet and backed for the Firebug army builder set. I really like that figure as a henchman and figure I may be able to trade one of the four off for another figure down the line.

Looks like they took fan feedback into consideration and made gold Cat available to all as an add-on. With that decision, I'm now looking at pledging for the vintage figures. I'm also interested in those add-on heads they announced a couple of days ago. I need to figure out what level will be the most efficient.
