The Bruder Jeep Wrangler was just a touch too big for Joe compatibility in my opinion, but this Rubicon is slightly smaller and works very well. It has seating for up to 4 Joes with ample head a foot room, even in the second row and the cargo area offers space enough to outfit for almost any excursion or take along a 4 legged friend.

Nice! I wonder if females wouldn't look more comfortable in the back seats due to the reduced leg room. Does the hood open for engine access? Can it be disassembled for easier repainting? How much did it cost?

Hood does open and females do fit better in the back than males. These Bruder vehicles do not like to be taken apart. They are together with tabs rather than screws and are very tight and very secure. They are solid toys. You will have to break tabs or dremel them off and then glue it back together, but it can be done. OB and I recently discussed the best way to get these apart and he did it so I know it works. As far as price, you need to search for a deal. There are scalpers out there for all things Bruder. If you are patient you can get these for $35-$40 shipped on eBay and sometimes Amazon sellers have them reduced to great prices.

Oh and there are different colors. There is a red version and a black/white police version of this rubicon. This color was the cheapest I could find though

Also check Amazon from time to time. A few years back I had been checking out this Bruder Land Rover but couldn't justify $35+ for it. Got home, checked Amazon and bought it for $18 shipped.

Same story on being a bit big but way worth it.

I have that land rover, it's an amazing toy. That jeep looks just as good. I'll be keeping my eye on that police version for a better price, it would be perfect for my DEF team.

here's a low end option - the Walmart Adventure Wheels has a new jeep. No frills, cheap plastic, etc... But it's scaled great. The doors all open great (better than their normal offerings), tow hook on front. Again, doesn't compare in quality, but decent in its own way

Been checking my closest Sprawlmart for that one ever since I'd seen it advertised on the back of the box for the Ford Raptor set about a month ago. 8-O Still haven't found it in person. Can't even seem to call it up on the search feature on the website to have it dropped off at the store. :-/

I want that Jeep so bad, may well justify a trip into the big city and hit all the Walmarts I run across... :shifty:
