Scored these awesome cauldron/cooking pots at Halloween World. They were $4.99 for a 12pk.

Image

They are far better than the ones that were out years ago as they feature sculpted textures across the entire exterior and a deeper lip at the top (inside of lip still needs to be filled in with clay/putty/resin for a more solid appearance) where the older ones were smooth and had shallow lips at the top.

With a 3.75" figure for scale:
Image

I will have some extras available for trade as I do not need all 12.

I'd say dibs except that if I find them here, shipping one might be the same diff. But set one in a little Bindy pile for a future deal in case I strike out.

;)

Hastings is shutting down, which bums me out, but I went in to take advantage of their 60% off sale. They were pretty picked over, but I grabbed a MU Civil War Cap with motorcycle set, and the comic two pack with Sam Cap and...other...guy....who I will now dub Fodder Man.

Wow - I didn't even see a sign of these at all during my recent visits. Which section are they in? Over by the Pixar-ish toys, or somewhere else?

well mine was mid re-set, but they were by movie and tv show action figures, more so than the kid licensed toys.

Also, I didn't know it - never saw a sign even while buying them. Noticed on the receipt after, then was mad I had bought an odd number.

Be warned - the figures aren't really worth even the sale price. Go into telling yourself the helmets are worth it, then salvage anything you can from there.

Stopped into the Javits Center on my way to the Hasbro "'Twas The Night Before..." event in Manhattan and picked up my Press pass for NYCC!

I also got all of these in my Hasbro goodie bag from the event:

The girls toys will be going to my niece.

Just got home from NYCC. Got to hang out with Spectre. Also picked up a stack of comics, a Transformers Prime Soundwave, some free swag; pins, lanyards, as well as some stuff for the little one. Wife grabbed some jewelry, a Spawn figure, and a t-shirt.

No pics, sorry, I already put everything away.

Today's haul.

Image

This piece is a statue rather then an articulated figure. The sculpting is amazing. But the package was what really won me over.

Today's haul.

Today was Daddy Daughter Day for me and the little one at NYCC today since mommy had to work so I didn't get too much.

Found one booth that had a deal I couldn't pass up and grabbed some stuff.

Image

We were also able to meet up with Spectre for a swap.

I opened the model kit I picked up yesterday. Not only is the package the coolest I've seen the instructions are awesome.

that is a great idea for the instruction sheet, really put some thought into it :)

that figure in your todays haul pic that looks like a hunters orange vest, but the hunter is in pieces, what is that? is the rifle and hunter 1:18?

I picked up this awesome Cthulhu themed Yahtzee set while cruising the NYCC showroom floor with sgcaper.
I do not play games, but the Cthulhu statue is beautifully sculpted and it was only $25.

This thing is AWESOME!

Custom 3.75" Cthulhu Cultist for scale.

I scored this awesome Disney parks exclusive R5-M4 on the showroom floor for only $12, same as the retail price at the parks and I saved a trip to Florida ;)

Image

The card back got bent in my bag but I do not care as I am an opener anyway. I need to make some wires for his feet though as the new molds the parks use do not have them :(

I also got some much needed customizing fodder parts from the always awesome sgcaper today! Thanks again.

I love the instruction sheet. Not only does it give the very basic instructions but the warranty as well as 2 mini news stories about odd happenings during the outbreak. A lot of thought went into it. If I were going back tomorrow I'd go get the other 2 model kits as well as one of those Yahtzee sets Spectre bought.

The figure is the hunter from a McFarlane toys playset. It is 1/18th scale, except for the rifle it's way oversized. He is in pieces and can be put back together. No articulation. Really crummy figures overall. I buy them for the playsets as backdrops for photos.
