Yep.

He does not come off well on the Facebook updates. And I called him out on it after his "I don't want to [LASER BLAST] and chide you but I'm going to [LASER BLAST] and chide all of you."

After seeing Eagle Force fund but come in under 200,000. I don't see this going much over that.

Again when your stretch goals are half a figure and you tell people the can get heads somewhere else it really looks bad. I was all in and dropped completely. I may change my mind and go in for a figure or two if it gets funded.

Wow. I decided to look up the Facebook page to read about the blanks and, man, are some of those comments d---ish. I plan on going in on this Kickstarter, but I can see how this guy is turning people off and frankly, it even puts doubts in my mind about giving my trust and money to this. If you can deal with your customers that way, how are you going to deal with your suppliers when things don't go right?

One thing I'm noticing with these Kickstarters is these folks need to understand the difference between a hobbyist and a salesman/businessman. If you are trying to start a business, start acting professional and realize how to present yourself that way on your Facebook page, websites, etc.

So his approach is definitely not going well. Here are a couple of comments I saw.

______________________________

"This project wasn't in my budget anyway, but even if I had every intention of participating, this guy's "shut up and give us your money" sales pitch would be enough to make me not give them a penny.

I wonder how many on-the-fence pledgers this marketing whiz has driven away with this little rant."

"I wasn't going to go in on the KS but was hoping to pick some up individually after they were released, and having read the facebook page and these quotes there's no way I'm changing my mind about that. I'm the consumer, my only interest and responsibility is to spend my money on product that I like that exists. It's not my respobsibilty to make the product come to fruition, even on KS, it's your responsibility to make a product and tier it out in a manner that consumers will want to buy. Guilt tripping on KS is an interesting way to try and accomplish that.

They really need to replace that guy as the voice of the project. "

"I'm really put off by the constant "do it and like it" comments. I mean, there was already a lot of negativity whether warranted or not from the start, and it seems that they aren't doing anything to try to overcome it. I love the look of this line, and I would love to back it, but it is really off-putting to read the "we are doing you all a favor so like it" (which is their right to do if they choose) attitude. Idk, I need to see more I guess before I back it."

Throughout there years there have been great toy lines fail because of poor execution. I have read the comments on facebook and on the kickstarter page, its a great action figure line. However, it seems they don't want to take care of or draw in more supporters. Unless they start including at least one of everything in the all in then they are going to lose that support. Honestly, it is false advertisement to call a pledge level "All In" when its not really all in if you have to add extra for this and that. Very poor business model.

I think I'll save my money for Animals of the Kingdom when it goes back up. My sons will love those as well as me.

This is really the crux of things. I hate this attitude, whether it comes from here, the GJCC, or wherever. No. If you're selling things, you are NOT doing anyone a favor. You are trying to start a business to bring yourself revenue. It's great that you are listening to your potential customers about what they want and trying to provide that, but your end goal is still to make money. WHICH IS FINE AND EXACTLY WHAT A BUSINESS IS, but these groups need to stop acting like they're doing some act of charity and that we should support them because we somehow owe them.

I'm still planning on the KP soldier. If the vaquero miraculously gets unlocked, I could see going for a five pack. Most likely, just the three pack of cavalrymen. I will likely wait until the last minute because, honestly, with as screwy as this has been, I want to know exactly what I want and submit my order once.

I'm backing the Posse set for 5 and am excited about that.
I honestly don't think much is going to be unlocked though....that KP soldier set is interesting though.

Liftoff and I are musing splitting a 5pack with him getting the Sheriff, Mr Reeves, and I think the Barkeep, and me going for Reeves and a Barkeep since I can't get the Vigilante.

I wouldn't let anything hold you back on supporting it. Over all it'll deliver. I'm going to probably do the posse level. I can't go any more than that due to the timing. If somehow people start piling in and all the stretch goals unlock, that'll be another story for everyone, but right now the 5 posse pledge is the best option. Spread the word as much as you can and it's possible to get a good amount unlocked! I'm posting some and will be amping up more to see what can be done to bring in people.

Latest update-

Badlands Vigilante will be an unlockable add-on for everyone IF

They get up to 550 backers at the $100+ level.

I 'nothing' that figure but I know some people liked it.
