I picked up the Mega Bloks TMNT Technodrome on Saturday and put it together yesterday. TRU had a $10 off purchases over $100 coupon so I went for it. Its a fantastic piece and I can't wait to put it next to the other 'drome in my collection. I will warn you though, its nearly 3,000 pieces and took me 12 hours of non-stop sorting and assembly. My fingertips are still a little tingly from all that brick squishing.

Impressive

Nearly 3,000 pieces. 150+ page instruction manual. No numbered bags like Lego. At about hour 7 it stopped being fun and turned into "I just want to get this damn thing finished" and then at about hour 11 it came back around to fun again. Oh and that time includes re-sorting things after the kittens decided to dive into the boxes onto my nicely sorted piles (happened twice in the first 6 hours, then I got the spray bottle) and chasing them down after they stole one of the small unopened bags.

I scored a ton of "Animal Planet" dinosaur sets as well as a sea life set and a monster set. I also picked up a quartet of Schleich items.


I also got three $25 gift cards for free thanks to the "spend $100 and get a free $25 gift card" promo they are running this week. I spent a little over $200 and my wife spent over $100 doing holiday shopping. So I will have $75 in free toys next month!
