This thing is very cool. Already had it out for a "test flight" and like how it looks with the design. Kinda rearranged a couple of the stickers already, but have been thinking about re-coloring it to a metallic orange with blue or purple highlights...
The Adventure Force Jeep Rubicon finally showed up at the local Sprawlmart! Couldn't find a way to track down this model on their Website, so started to feel bummed it would never make an appearance near me. I gave up after a while. When I schlepped into the store once my work day was over, I'd seen this one on the shelf and it put a giant rictus grin upon my face! Think I might've scared the little ol' lady shopping for Christmas gifts with her grandkids because of that look...
These lil fellas I'd ordered through
Iron Haus Productions Oz Custom Toy Shop. They're almost throwbacks to M.U.S.C.L.E. figures or the little decoy Transformers rubber guys. If I ever get a chance to sit back and paint, these guys will get some details added to 'em.
My mother recently gave me a Buzz Lightyear from McD's she had found at a yard sale saying "You don't have enough space faring folks for your 'figure-self' to visit on other planets, so here's a fellow freelance peace keeper." His helmet is a bit scuffed, but I chalk it up to so many close-call battles with all kinds of nefarious aliens. Like Kurse in this pic: guess we angered him somehow, so Buzz had to karate chop him in that ugly moosh of his... lol!
Been a fairly good couple weeks for fun toys.
