Thanks, guys.

That Peter Parker has become my favorite custom of 2016. Can't seem to stop playing with it. And I'm afraid he might lead me to making a bunch of civilian supporting cast customs from his high school crowd.

I think you need to explain how you put that Beetle helmet together...

That head was a HUGE pain in the tuckus, and the sole reason this custom went unfinished for so long.

I tried modifying a pointy eared Iron Man noggin the first time around. Then I tried sculpting over parts of a Wolverine head. Then I tried building the fins onto one of those Future Foundation Spidey heads. Nothing worked.

Finally, in desperation, I took some purple plastic tape and stuck it onto the front of the original Guardsman head. I cut it into the vague shape I wanted, but could still see the recessed areas on the helmet beneath and the fins were just too floppy. So I used Green stuff to make the front of the Guardsman helmet smooth and tried folding over the tape at the top to create thicker fins. That started to feel right, so I did two of those and trimmed them to mirror each other, forming the two halves of his faceplate.

The eyes were cut from the rounded tops of two spare yellow blast effects from various Iron Man figures.

Okay, so I finished re-watching Jessica Jones on Netflix last night and I have to say that's hands-down my favorite Marvel TV show.

Gave me just the inspiration I needed to finish up not one but two customs I had abandoned on the bench in favor of shinier pursuits.

Here's the first:

Jessica's a pretty straight-up, hard-edged civilian-looking chick. In fact, my wife thought this custom looked like Joan Jett when finished, which is probably pretty appropriate.

Here's Jessica Jones-Jett with her best guy (whom I've shown before):

And here she is with her worst - a glorified accessory that I didn't think my collection could do without:

What do you guys think?

Thanks guys.

Jess was definitely an itch I needed to scratch and I'm glad the Purple Man was worth the minimal effort (gave him some new feet for added height and articulation).

Now here's one that took a bit more time to concept but came together quickly after that:

I had a perfectly serviceable Executioner custom (which you can see back earlier in this thread) in my collection, but he always felt a little small/scrawny when placed next to my Thor. So I built this one on the Ares figure for added height and bulk. Now he can actually menace the God of Thunder:

And here's a shot of him with his eternal lady love and partner in cosmic crime:

Damn, loving that Skurge. Gonna steal the ever-lovin $#!@ out of your recipe.

Edit: apparently I said something to the same effect 3yrs ago. But once again, my procrastination pays off! :-)

Yeah, that's very steal-worthy and using the 'Sorby head is inspired.

But he still needs his M-16s.

Thanks guys. Glad you dig Skurge 2.0.

Since I'm apparrently more excited about Thor Ragnarok than I knew, I'm still on an Asgardian kick with my Marvel customs.

Here's the latest:

Odin owes more to his look in the game Marvel: Future Fight than his cinematic incarnation (thought I did just HAVE to use that Anthony Hopkins head out of respect). Here's a shot with the scratch-built helmet off and the Allfather bookended by his two sons:
