I'm double-posting this here to make sure everybody sees it since I know the Mega Bloks thread is basically just me, SunTzu, and BobStrange, lol.

I picked up one of the American Girl singles today, to see how they'd work with 18th adults:

Height-wise, I think she works. Face-wise, I think she's too cartoony but I bet some headswaps from Schleich statues should work. Otherwise, the only negatives are the lack of elbows and the brick-compatible hands. The arms are the rubbery plastic, so it shouldn't be difficult to get another pair of nu-style MB shoulder or elbow joints to bash in to give her elbows and whatever Schleich statue donates a head might be able to donate some hands as well.

The head is a couple mm wider than an 18th woman's typically is, but some heating up should enable the wig to squeeze narrower to work on an 18th adult if you're inclined. Her glasses wrap around her head under her wig, but should be usable as well with some heating to fit.

As she's brick-compatible, she's not quite perfect for our traditional action figure needs, but I'll be damned if there are any better figures of 18th children out there. Although they're pre-pubescent and thus could likely be converted over with some time, effort, and more of them aforementioned Schleich statues; let's hope for some boys in future series.

I've been more interested in how the eyeglasses would look on 3 3/4 scale figs.

The disassembly pic shows they're more like goggles, going all around the head. The girl's head is bigger than a Joe head, and you'll likely need to heat the glasses up to fit them to the face and cut out a segment in back if you want to keep them as goggles.

I picked this one up at Kroger's, but I've seen them at TRU as well. I don't recall the price, but they should be about $4.

I'm not seeing it, to be honest.

I've used a megablox base figure before as a toddler, but these are simply to blocky and cartoony. Even if you put a different head on it.

Plus a ton of work if you want normal artic.

The one benefit I see is that they aren't as chunky as most Megabloks figures I've looked at.

What's the 'it' you're not seeing? Other than elbows, what do they need for 'normal' artic? They have ball necks, shoulders, hips; swivel waists, wrists, and ankles since the shoes are swappable.

I'm just enjoying these pictures of Storm Shadow and all of his adopted children. Would have made a great sitcom in the eighties.

Adopted? Illegitimate, you mean.

So now I got this image of 4 ladies showing up at the Arashikage temple and handing over all four of these kids on the same day. Stormy is overwhelmed and has never faced a challenge like this. Cue the upbeat intro cut over many of the day to day fiascos that come with the world's best ninja raising four kids from 5 to 13. Nice sparkle logo of My Ninja Dad. Each show cuts between Storm Shadow bravely fighting off enemies around the world and failing at general fatherhood. But by the end of our 24-ish minutes plus commercials, the kids help Stormy realize he's not so bad of a parent and they'll all get through this together and they can learn a little about life from each other. Freeze frame of them all laughing and we'll see you next Friday on TGIF.

The angle in the last pic makes his expression say it all. "What have I gotten myself into?"

See, I'm a much worse person. I saw that and heard Chris Hansen saying, "Mr. Arashikage, have a seat right over there...."

I just picked these up; the girl in blue is going out to GA for my grand-niece Sophia since it's 'her'.

Saw this 3pack as well, which I might have gotten first if I'd known about them. You'll note the extra wigs and two glasses/goggles.
