Trying to replicate a painting look...sort of a swirled look...like that on the upper legs of the Viper v8

Any tips Ideas on how to make this look happen?

i bet you could replicate it with the right kind of acrylic, mixed with too much water... just don't forget to varnish! otherwise it will probably scrape of with a finger touch. Not a fingernail, a finger! :)

You might be able to achieve the look with some dry brushing as well.

I think I would try working with both colors wet. apply and swirl until you get the desired effect. i think primer would hinder this effect as the slick surface will let the paint swirl without mixing 100%. I have almost gotten that effect on accident.

I have started keeping a brush just for water so I can "lift" unwanted paint or mistakes quickly.
