Post subject: Anyone know the codename for Action Force Commander?

I'm wrapping up a custom and I'm not sure of the correct name for the character.

I had always assumed that Skip (the red beret character) was the Action Force leader, but there was another action figure who was higher up the food chain.

Palitoy's Action Force Commander/Z-Force Commander had the same head-to-toe body as Black Major. The figure was a mail-away, with no datafile (filecard) listing the character's codename or filename. So it's just "Action Force Commander" the same way Cobra Commander is simply "Cobra Commander".

YouTube reviewer Cyber-Tiger, in his review of the Action Force Commander, stated that the character's codename was Eagle. But there was already an SAS figure named Eagle, so I'm confused. On the online character guides I've found, none of them give a codename. I can't find anything stating that Eagle is the correct codename.

The Battle Action Force comics I've read on bloodforthebaron.com tell Black Major's backstory. This included him being a weasel-ish member of Action Force before defecting to the Red Shadows, but didn't depict him as the commanding officer of Action Force.

Does anyone actually know what the canon is? Is the "AFC becomes Black Major" something that latched into kids' minds because the figure bodies were the same? Was there some official retconning later in Battle Action Force?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks. That pushes me towards thinking that "The AFC is Black Major" is something that kids came up with on their own.

I've always just called him "The Commander" He has always reported directly to Minister Raymond Trent regarding SAF missions.
