On the heels of Disney making overtures to Fox.

Mergers are in the air.

The book Toy Wars in the 90’s was supposed to be about the potential merger between Hasbro and Mattel. Obviously that didn’t happen, but this isn’t the first time these two have danced.

I know this is still very early in the process and might not actually happen. However, this could be huge for both of them in a good way, especially in the wake of the Toys R Us bankruptcy.

The toy potential could be awesome, but then again, I'm seeing it from a nostalgic, I want every 80's Hasbro action figure line to come back, point of view.
MASK hot wheels
Mega Construx GI Joe, MASK, Micronauts and even Visionaries sets and figures. Of course none of those brands speak to kids so we might just get the occasional character in the Heroes line...

uniform format for figures would be amazing, but unlikely since Hasbro doesn't even do that now. Also, would be less likely to benefit 1:18 than 1:12. Yet, it would improve the chances over the current probability, which is nil.

Barbie AND GI JOE?

3-3/4 Barbie's that would fit in with GI JOE? That opens up all sorts of vehicles and players...

there are Barbie branded polly pocket type figures 5 poa that are 4" size. I just bought 17 or so PP at a fleamarket for our granddaughter.

Looks like so much for that idea, I hope.

And as far as I'm concerned, thank God. I really didn't want to see this happen. There are Hasbro products I like. There are Mattel products I like. And I'd just as soon they continue to be produced by their respective companies.

Yeah, based on the personnel at Hasbro these days; this would have ended up sucking major ass for we 18th fans.
