Eagle Force is something I wanted to do in ARAH format from the first day I got into customizing Joes. After plugging away at the various characters for a couple of years, I finally finished the last of the dozen Eagle Force members. I'll show each one here in their own post in this thread.

I have a few of the RIOT figures done as well, but have several more to do. So when I have them completed, I'll post them in their own thread. No idea how long that will take me at this point.

If you're not familiar with Mego's Eagle Force, you can find information here:

Wild Bill
Eagle Force Commando

In my Joeverse, I use Wild Bill as the link between Mego's Eagle Force (which has a very similar theme to GI Joe) and the Joes. That is, our favourite cowboy Mr. Hardy served under Captain Eagle in the Eagle Force before joining GI Joe. This means I had to take some significant liberties with the Eagle Force version of the character, since other than sharing a code name and both being cowboys, they aren't all that similar. But the adaptation was called for in order to bring Eagle Force into the Joe universe. I see it as a paramilitary organization that arose after the original GI Joe left the military to operate the Adventure Team, which left a hole to be filled by the Eagle Force. After a couple of years they disbanded (possibly due to lack of funding to reflect the fate of Mego), but their successes encouraged the US military to create the GI Joe team.

File Name: Hardy, William S.
Birthplace: Brady, TX
Service Branch: Army
Grade: W-3 (CW3)
Primary MOS: Rotary-Wing Pilot
Secondary MOS: Infantryman

Head, arms, torso, waist – Wild Bil v4
Upper legs – Beach Head v2
Lower legs - Recoil

Rifle – Cobra Trooper v2

Eagle
Eagle Force Leader

Eagle took a little work to put together, I needed Mutt's lower left arm to act as his falconry glove. He also needed an eagle as an accessory, and Freedom was the obvious choice. I painted a few extra details on the bird.

Birthplace: Little Rock, AR
Service Branch: Army
Grade: O-3 (CPT)
Primary MOS: Infantry Officer
Secondary MOS: Counterintelligence Officer

Head – Krexx Radek custom (modified)
Left upper arm – Storm Shadow v2
Left lower arm – Mutt
Right arm – Recoil
Torso – Duke
Waist – Muskrat
Legs – Windchill

Submachine gun – unknown
Eagle - Spirit

Band-Aid
Eagle Force Combat Medic

The Eagle Force lines deserves some credit for the diversity of its cast – of the 12 members of the team, there was one women, one Native American, one Asian-American and two African-Americans, and even a hippy! But the code names for the two African-Americans left something to be desired; Band-Aid is based on the character Big Bro, which has enough racist overtones that I didn't want any part of it. So I gave him a code name based on a Vietnam-era nickname for a medic: Band-Aid. He's a pretty straightforward custom, using Doc as the basis and bulking him up some.

File Name: Terry, Vance G.
Birthplace: Minneapolis, MN
Service Branch: Army
Grade: E-6 (SSG)
Primary MOS: Combat Medic Specialist
Secondary MOS: Infantryman

Head – Doc
Arms – Roadblock v4
Torso – Wild Weasel
Waist – Backstop
Legs- Footloose

Shotgun – Agent Faces
Bandolier – Raginspoon cast

Kayo
Eagle Force Martial Artist

Kayo is a pretty straightforward custom, and has a weapon accurate to the original. His head is from Remco's American Defense, one of the rare figures from that series that has a decent head sculpt. I was originally going to use Quick-Kick's legs, but decided to give Kayo shoes instead. Wearing a gold-leaf uniform is one thing, but going into battle in bare feet is quite another.
