Mind you, I take the canopies off my Sisters and use them as straight robot action figures and I doubt any of them will fit in the HexaGear cockpits with them still in place.

"You got Diaclone in my MegaConstrux!" "You got MegaConstrux in my Diaclone!" Two great tastes that taste great together. Wasn't sure which thread to put this in, but since it's MC size, I figured this was the better fit. The claws have 3mm holes to hold weapons from the various brick lines. I need to scale it down about 5% and reprint to get the size a bit closer, but this was a complete-from-scratch design. I'm pretty happy with it. I took my Waruder I had designed at Diaclone scale and designed some Mega-compatible parts to allow it to be Mega-sized and articulated.

And a quick pic of it painted up and holding a weapon:

...remember when you'd accomplish this via sculpting , molding and casting ? The future has officially arrived.

Nice (and fun) work Mark! I'm always down for more mini and micro figures .

A suggestion (request?): the drivers of the classic Stompers vehicles (Future Force) in Mega scale.

Thanks!

And yeah, when I was working on it, I was thinking about how I used to sculpt up stuff and have to beat the clock to get stuff just right before the sculpting material set. I still sculpt some, but I like being able to work over something until I get it just where I want it.

I'll have to look up the Stompers figures; I'm not familiar with them. I had a ton of Stompers toys, but it was just the cars and trucks, none of the futuristic stuff. I am thinking of putting some of my designs on Shapeways once I get some of them dialed in more, but not sure just yet.

My Solidworks is getting digitally dusty due to lack of use :-(

MarkM, fantastic work!

COD Heroes series 3 is now available in stores.
I spotted (sadly) the empty box at my local Walmart yesterday.
Coincidentally, a local Ebay seller has some for sale for 3x the original price...

What's the reason not to put them up on ShapeWays?

Suntzu - I actually use a mix of software -- Sculptris and MakeHuman for organic looking stuff, Paint3D for adding some hand-drawn detail to things, FreeCAD for general design, and 3D Builder for putting it all together/adding basic shapes.

Redmao - Thanks! Wave 2 never showed up around here, so I'm not expectant on Wave 3. I'll probably just get the box set from EE.

AV - Just not sure if there's any real interest in them/what the cost to have them made would be. Shapeways may be too expensive to be worth it.

Well, you could post them to Thingiverse where they'd be free to print for those with the capability (like me, through the Library!).

*sigh*

You may have created the minuscule spark needed to get me back into designing with SW. I'll look at some of the programs you mentioned at some point. Everything mentioned seems to be freeware. Keep positing . Every bit of motivation helps.

So i recently received Beastman. I had initially lost the vast majority of enthusiasm for him due to horrid distribution and inflated secondary market prices but...i was able to snag him for actual retail on Amazon when he was available (for less than 24 hrs. Pure chance and luck). I can feel the enthusiasm returning slowly.
