Quick question - are the armory sets going to continue or is that run ended? They seem to sell well, but curious if any news has been put out regarding new sets.

A couple of things:
First, I've started seeing the CoD single packs in Dollar General lately, so I'm hoping that maybe the other single card figures will show up eventually. That would be great, since our local Target has no MB stuff anymore. They took the aisle that was MB and other non-Lego stuff and gave half of it to Lego and then miscellaneous, with non-Lego bricks getting two 4' shelf units. So Lego now has a full aisle and a half and other bricks are effectively gone. Wal-Mart is almost as bad.

Now, I was just wondering if anyone is interested in things like power tools, chainsaws, etc. for MB/brick scale. I had a request for it from someone on Shapeways and worked up a couple of pieces, but was wondering if anyone had other wants or if anyone is interested in these. The power tools I fudged just a bit in size so they'll work for MB figures but they can also be used by 1:18 figures and not look bad.

Maybe it's because the latest releases are getting harder to find in stores? Looks like since Mattel took over, MB products are suffering from the same distribution problems as any other toy line.
Haven't seen anything new in store past an empty CoD Heroes box.

Yeah, Mattel have dropped the ball on MB, imho. They had no more good ideas of how to steal brickplay sales away from Lego than Hasbro did with Kreo; and since they're Mattel they're completely clueless how to handle MBs as a straight action figure line like I assert needs to be done since they're so colossally terrible at action figures.

I hit several Wal-Marts yesterday as I drove around my state. Little to anything at any of them. If they even had MB stuff, it was all old. Not a one even had evidence of ever having anything beyond Wave 1 of Heroes. In fact, the saddest thing I think I saw was a completely full case of Wave 1, containing nothing but Picards and Borgs. I'm thinking someone must have bought cases elsewhere then returned them there.

I found multiple Beastman figures ...

800+ miles away from me.

I'd buy $4 COD team packs in a heart beat but they don't show up in my area.

At this point I'm relying on a local dollar store and Amazon to find product. Both come up empty 98% of the time. I'm buying old product (movie tmnt) for cheap custom fodder. In addition there isn't much that i find to be a must have currently. I don't collect the ubiquitous Halo line and my preferred COD hasn't made me want any additional soldiers . The Beast Eggs line has some potential from a custom perspective but they aren't the sci fi Dragons Universe line (which I'd buy again today even with old articulation).

With that said I won't complain too much. I've got a great collection of black suited seal team mercenaries with custom heads. Everything else is gravy.

I remember Stikfas and how they came and went. I'm stocking up on old cheap fodder while it's available just on case Mattel doesn't come out of this tail spin.

I just found Beastman at TRU Laval along wave 3 of CoD Heroes. No weapons crate figures, but it's better than nothing.

I've been stocking up on any fodder that can be used down the road. I've been fairly lucky so far, but I still haven't found Faker in the wild. Should buy a couple of spare Borgs while they are shelf warming. Can't wait to find a couple of beast eggs.

Exactly.

I bought the multiple Beast Man figures i mentioned not because i needed them but because i might need the fodder down the road. considering i paid retail price and not scalper price i felt like i got a deal lol.

..i was just about to say something negative but then i recalled how i felt when i bought my first SEAL Team set. Eff it. Mega Brands (pre Mattel) gets a pass for everything else because of that.

Everything is dry here in Austin. When I was in Denver a couple of months ago I found a 2 Fakers and that was it. It has all but dried up around here
