I think this batman sculpt works better in grey and blue than the black one. Some how the contrast looks better to me.

I think they should have done super man in the black and silver

I wouldn't be surprised if Hiya is keeping the more sensible repaint options to themselves. ThinkGeek isn't a big player in any toy market I'm familiar with, yet.

Daniel Archive comes through again with nice pics of Red Hood and Swamp Thing. I didn't know ST came with a hammer weapon, and I'm thinking some rotten fleshtones would turn him into a nice 'Resident Evil' quasi-Tyrant.

that jacket on redhood is awesome! the whole figure is a great "snake eyes noir" affair. I need a sack of the jackets.

I don't mind that Aquaman but not something I really want.
Bane is awesome & annoying since I'm trying to make my own comic based version but this one is close enough.

RoboCop, hell yeah. I assume that's an InJustice Robin next to him.

Wow - talk about "meh" -- glad I didn't buy multiples for customs like I originally planned.

Guess I'll just have to make a custom Harley with that outfit.

Swamp Thing is due Monday (even though he was shipped the same day as Harley) - I was already planning on customizing him with some foliage and other bits, but now I'm worried he'll suck as a base by being a head shorter than all my (MU-based) DC customs.

Think I'm officially done with these. No sense wasting any more $$$

I definitely had the same view of Harley straight out of the package. The pea sized head is the biggest flaw but the rubbery plastic doesn’t help.

So I bought two. And I’m doing a head swap. On the second I’m going to go for sleeveless arms and no jacket. With a little work I got the legs to stand a little straighter. And while not done, I do think a larger head improves both the height and the overall feel.

Also shown is the Hiya Red Hood I just got. Appearance-wise I think he’s top notch. But does feel a little flimsy. I’m still buying, mostly for custom base fodder and not so much for outta box relevanceImage

I got my Swamp Thing and Red Hood yesterday. Red Hood was purchased purely as custom fodder, and in that respect he should do nicely. Swamp Thing is surprisingly well-done: my expectations weren't all that high after getting a few predators, but he's more solidly built than I thought he would be, and his range of motion is pretty good. Mine has looser elbows than I would have liked, but I can probably solve that problem. I don't love the designs of most of the stuff they're releasing, but this does embolden me to pre-order Darkseid.

I'm pretty happy with my Harley, although I'll be using her to make someone else and get the Joker Harley repaint to use as is. I think I'm gonna run with a Brereton's ThrillKiller 'lady Joker' idea for a while until somebody makes a proper Brian Bolland 18th Joker and not some "LASER BLAST" weird-ass not-Joker from a movie or videogame or by Mattel.

However, she's got a couple issues rooted in Hiya's approach to 18th scale. They just aren't getting the mix of hard&soft plastics and the style of engineering they choose right. Too many joints have the peg flexing before the cup slides around the ball at the end of said peg - such as both Harley's and Swampy's hips. They also make a lot of ball joints *not* have spherical contact surfaces, such that the joint ends up having little range of motion (and thus little playabilty, and therefore little point in existing, being made, or being paid for), such as with Harley's waist and Swampy's moob. This stuff goes back to their Xenos and is present throughout their 18th offerings so far, and where I wish they'd really focus their attention towards improving: they keep making these excellent digisculpts and then undercutting them by adding in poorly thought-out joint engineering as an afterthought instead of as the first priority.

Anyway, I actually really like Harley's real-world human ladyperson proportions instead of the weird too-long-legged standard Hasbro's forced on the industry since the 25A line; although her head is indeed a bit on the small side.

Red Hood is pretty "LASER BLAST" great as a teen buck. He's a great candidate for lots of guys (Night Thrasher, for one), imho. I'm gonna make Jupiter Assante off this one.
