it looks awesome! impressive how you transformed the dollar tree bike and furniture! the whole thing is packed with great details and it's surprising in the full shot how small it is!

Thanks! It just goes to show that with a little work, if something is 1:18th scale, you can make it look pretty nice (or in this case, ugly as hell). I'm glad you were able to recognize that stuff as being from Dollar Tree. :) I wish I could have made this much much bigger, but I presently don't have anywhere to permanently display it, so I had to make it small enough that I could move it around and store it easily.

Where did you get the plasma rifles from?

Those came with the McFarlane Movie Monsters Terminator endoskeleton that came out years ago. They were horribly undersized for that figure, but just about right "as-is" for 1:18th. I sent one I had to Vortious Custom Accessories so he could make copies, which he now sells.

That's true, but I think I'm happy with it as-is. :)

Let me ask anyone who is looking.....does it look odd to have a devastated landscape yet have a few pieces of furniture laying around, perfectly intact? Someone mentioned that elsewhere, and I partially agree. Yet if you keep in mind that there are still some people left alive, looting, foraging, there might be some items that were buried or otherwise protected, that get carried outside and scattered around. Plus you have explosions going off which might kick things around (and yes, should destroy them in the process)....I also felt the need to fill in some of the blank space. I also thought it was somewhat funny to have all this messed up landscape, yet there sits a chair, in useable shape.

But if that stuff really sticks out like a sore thumb and detracts from it, I'd like to know. And it's not permanently attached, so it can be removed easily.

I don't think so. T2 opens with a shot of the playground with see-saws and tricycles. If it were fresh from the store it would stick out, but having everday items trashed about is part of what makes those scenes so memorable to begin with. That and the robots literally crushing skulls as that flush out the last of humanity's resistance. So many skulls.

Thanks pluv. I've thought about maybe trashing those items a bit more, but at this point I've already messed with it for so long, I need a break. And I wish I could have added more skulls, but at $3-4 a pop, it gets expensive really fast.

All the craft stores and seasonal aisles are starting to get in their halloween decoarations. Keep an eye on in scale skulls and skeletons. Sometimes that is the best way to get a cheap pile of them.

I'm always on the look-out for 1:18th skulls/skeletons! :)
