OK, so one project I have been working on for some time is casting a live action movie. With the recent news of the Snake-Eyes movie, I thought I would share my thoughts.

My goal is to not just put names in whilly-nilly, but to actually do it right. To this end, I am looking at people from various time periods, at specific points in their careers, and who will look the best in the iconic version of the uniform. All uniforms will be like they walked of the pages of the comic book/off the cartoon/brought figure to life.

I am looking for input, so if anyone has suggestions, I would appreciate their input. Could be from MLB, NFL, etc.

Any name with a * means placeholder for now. I also will be going back and putting a description of what TV/Movie/etc reference I used to determine the look and my reasoning for the choice.

reading through there are a few I cringed at

patric Swayze as outback - would totally ruin the character for me. matthew McConaughey maybe.

lowlight should be tom Berringer , so he finally gets credit for the best headsculpt of the character.

ship wreck would be great for adam sandler, but he would bring 12 other guys with him so.....maybe danny McBride he would only bring that one franco guy.

if post mortem isn't a problem then R. Lee Ermy should make the cut as a general oe even the president if he is in the movie. i'd vote for ermy!

Okay, here is the Dropbox link for pics for all of the actors and actresses I would cast in the GIJOE universe movie.

You may notice there are a wide range of actors and actresses from different eras, and it also includes those that have passed away. My goal was come up with the absolute best person for each role. So, for example, the late actor Trevor Goddard (JAG) is cast as Ripper.

Also, for some characters, I do have two pics for the same character. I just haven't decided which one is the better fit.

My rule is the actor needs to resemble the card art or the action figure, or personifies the character. I'm not just picking my favorites, or going with the most popular, I am trying to put some seriousness into it.
