Lots of greatness in here. The bust stands are perfect. Same with RoboCop. Paint apps on the skulls fantastic. You're living up to your screenname with the leatherface work. Dark "LASER BLAST".

making some progress today on leatherface.


these arms came from a lot of parts that had someone else's customs. after taking this pic I realized they were a bit more yellow than would work. I had already flicked blood and did a black wash, so it was a gamble to try and fix.


a beige wash over all the exposed areas and head seems to have got it.


I am most proud of the paint on the apron. it's a starwars rubber cape with wire ties straps and some heatshrink. I hate softgoods and was going to use thin plastic label or dogfood bag like I used way back on my crazy chef custom.

i'm glad I pushed it a little farther for more realism.

these are axes from marauder that I "fixed" . they come with a really weird shape head, kind of like a slice of bread. at first I just tried to grind one into shape, but it wasn't going well. so I used a lighter and heated it, then squished with flat plyers. after that I "sharpened" them by Dremel.


I am using one of my stand alone altar/shelves I made awhile back as a 3rd wall to go along with my kill shed.

my 2 first attempts at a dogfoodbag apron got repurposed as skin. then repurposed again as a removeable shelf liner so I could glue down several items and remove them easily as one unit.

also a box of failed masks, a bucket of parts, and a washpan catch all of ewe

I touched up some paint on the pants, put the apron and 1st mask on. took some test shots before I pull out the spooky house for group pics. glad I did because I didn't have the mask seated all the way on at first. I adjusted before the last pic.

not quick update-

wed. night we had a storm that we thought knocked our internet out. called dish network and the tech. walked us through trouble shooting, no go. so I was bummed to not be able to upload my Halloween pics. I had them all taken with multiple sets and resets. probably 400 pics narrowed down to 150 "good" ones. I started with group (with 6 other killers) pics in front of the spooky house, then set pics for both sides of the kill shed. then some variant pics with the 3 final masks and different weapons. long story short I took a break from editing. I started deleting old trade/4 sale images in another sub folder just to tidy up a bit. I then emptied my trash like always. I guess that whole folder was thrown away. not just 3 days of this project, but everything I've taken pics of since around my boss fight contest entry!! my wife even tried to "recover" my laptop from a few days prior, but they are all gone.

so super bummed, but I already started retaking pics. hard to stay motivated as Halloween has come and gone. i'm sure i'll run into some other "missing" pics from that folder, but luckily I was pretty current on posting so those images are on my hosting site.

we have dish coming tomorrow, but today my wife cut down 5 thin and tall trees. that must of been the culprit, because we just got service back.

so pics will be taken and posted.

thanks sgcaper. it could be worse, from now on I need to go and look at the trash before I empty it. I started pics this time in reverse order so I began with the kill shed and multiple masks, and I just set up the spooky house.

I got in some great stuff right in time from the spectre for dio props!


the axe and saw are 7" scale. I used the hatchet head on a fortnite handle and just cut the handle down on the saw.



also from spec another kong island shed that I used the roof piece for another wall I can move around. weathered on one side and with weapons mounted on the other.

all the non chainsaw accessories will get used on other projects for sure.
