I remember the toyline hitting late in the year, like around summer time, where I lived. It was a matter of choices and the '82 toy lineup was too strong for Crystar to prevail, much less any of the secondary characters. I ended up trading for a loose figure the next year, no accessoires. Played with him until he was a melty green mess of a figure. So seeing this strikes every nastalgia chord in me.

That's awesome. For me they were just some random toys that my parents brought home one day from Kmart for me and my brother, probably because they were cheap. It was Kalibar and Koth, Moltar and a Magma Man. But the look of them was just amazing and were great imagination fuel.

I've always loved these figures, even though I only ever spied them on shelves but never bought any, though I wish I had! They seem to be somewhat expensive on the secondary market, so I can only imagine what you had to spend to get the army you now have. I remember seeing these languishing for years on clearance pegs at Kay Bee toys and kick myself for never picking any up!

This is great work and really shows your love for the line!

They seem to have gone up a LOT in price in the last few years. Fortunately I got most of mine years ago, when they weren't so costly.
