I have some naked figures for a Terminator setup...now Terminators aren't known for being prudes, but it just feels weird having nude action figures and I don't ever want my kids to ask "why does daddy have naked toys?" The females are from BFS and the men are modified Marvel....none are detailed "down below". So...what would you guys do? Would you make clothing for them, or, since this is for a scene in which shows Terminators in a storage facility, maybe have some strategicly placed straps?

I don't know why I'm letting this bother me so much. I just remember someone posting a naked female on Hisstank and thinking to myself, "whoa, that's going a little far."

Should I scrap this idea and never speak of it again?

For me, it is all about context. It has to make sense given the scnee or character. I like your idea for the strategic use of straps because that would fit the setup. For the JC Gallery archive. we'll deny anything that is obscene because that goes up on the front page.

As the resident customizer most associated (however unfairly it may be) with plastic "LASER BLASTS", I say do what makes you happy. Hacks blanks aren't naked. They are just blank. People buy high end versions of the same things to serve as stand-ins for models for art and illustration. Why is this any different? Now, if the question is about the end result of a scene or a photo, then I like the idea of strategic straps to make the final shots acceptable for all ages. But I also don't have a problem with shots that aren't. Like pluv says, context matters more than anything.

i'm glad I got some maturity before I got into this hobby. I fear I would of been XXX as a teen with these skills. with 2 granddaughters and a 3rd on the way I have become hyper aware of gross nudity. it doesn't offend me as much as just bewilder me, I mean how men with daughters/wives etc. can be so ok with it.

I like the straps for your scenario. for the movies weren't they always just positioned to not show the bits for the nude scenes?

did you get the little startrek crater ?? I was thinking it might be useful for terminator stuff.

If you are worried about nakedness in the dio, I would either cut out some black plastic and use poster tack (the material, not a thumbtack) to attach it to 'censor' the bits; or I would download a 'censored' bar (the blurry one) and attach.

I agree that context matters most of all, but as these will be in a static diorama and somewhat permanent, I might go with the straps covering up the "business areas", while if they are in other Terminator related scenes (like coming out of a "time bubble") they will have to be sans clothing but have certain areas blurred/censored.

probably too late for dollar tree, but they had clear plastic snow globe ornament balls in 2 sizes for your energy balls. might still find some at Walmart clearance.

That would be an option, I recently got into making molds of items and doing some casting.

I did find an ornament sphere at Hobby Lobby that should work well for a time bubble. Time bubble....I would really like a different name for that.
