That new Squad Mode set is pretty neat.
Instant gang in a box.

I found a few things at WM last night, the Outpost and a couple Battle Royale items on sale. The Outpost is decent but it doesn't seem like buying multiples will get you an enclosed building due to the canopy pieces, which is a lost opportunity for both we dorks and JW's profits. Sometimes fidelity to the source canon hurts the toys, imho. The Specialist's helmet is cheap, for not locking in place, fitting properly, or having a closing visor. But he should make good fodder for a custom that I've been prevaricating on too long.

I saw the BR Port-a-Fort sets on sale for only $4 but passed due to getting the Outpost and the BR Stormwing bi-plane at $5. I figure the Ice King's very cool weapons are woth the price if the plane is a dud; which it's not. The prop spins, as do all 3 wheels with the rear one steerable; and the steering controls spin. However, there's no leg room for 18ths and the legs need to be popped off to get anybody in it. Hopefully we'll get a Barnstormer pilot in the 18th line, maybe.

Hell, we don't even know what packaging he'll be in yet.

I got the Expedition Outpost last week with the Orange Astronaut figure. It is pretty neat even if it doens't have a floor or backside. All of the connector dimples now have canals in 3 directions making it a little easier to snap pieces together (I still struggled). They added additional T pieces to join open end pieces together whihc will be helpful if your making custom builds with all the planks. The only real downside to this playset is that the line for the zipline is waaaaay to short to make it fun on its own. I plan on cutting it out and adding a wire between the pieces. Bigger than I expected too. With some mylar, white dryer duct, and a couple of cheap dollar stor solar panels you could have a really nice space base.

This is going to be my first purchase once I have some fun money again. This set is probably my most wanted 2020 item.

I'm just not all that impressed by it. More impressed they made it than what it is.

Picked up 4 of the Jumbo Llamas on clearance for $5 each at Walmart, the tower alone is well worth that price. Also the tons of the Visitor figure is down to $3.

I don't collect the line but if i saw the Llama for $5 i'd start . That's a lot of fodder for that price (let alone 2 figures).

You've got me curious, I'd like to see that retrofit when it's done. Would the white dryer duct be like a passageway to connect buildings?

Preternia's on a roll with new reveals.

Instagram bedevils me, so I can't easily share all the photos (some posts have several), but click on the photos below to link through to each post to see them.

Quote:
First off, the stuff from the press kit. 4” Chapter 1 box set including a prominent character from each season in Chapter 1. New figures are golden Ice King and Eternal Voyager.

Don’t worry, there is A LOT more.

Quote:
For the 4” @jazwares Fortnite line the llama piñata will be replaced (maybe not replaced entirely because there is also a large dark lama that I believe had 8-Ball and Scrath) with the vending machine. First two vending machines will feature X-Lord and Dark Love Ranger.

Red Hood and Dire will highlight a builder set. Both figures look UNBELIEVABLE!

Image

Quote:
Next up for the @jazwares 4” Fortnite line are a few vehicle packs:
Hybrid Stage 2 with The Baller (RC)
Copper Wasp with ATK (new deco, more blue)
Peely with Hoverboard (I think they said Peely had browning deco)
Yonder (new deco) with Drone.

Quote:
Finally, some various other 4” @jazwares Fortnite stuff in the pipeline:

Prickly Patroller and Bigfoot are in a late year squad 4-pack, I can’t remember who else was in it.

Scratch and 8-ball are in a giant dark llama. Llama comes with building pieces to make Kevin.

Ultima Knight is a new version of early game survival. It will drop the building piece and include more guns, and also be $14.99 instead of $19.99.
