Good thing I assumed so and nabbed it when I saw it last week, lol. The box should be full now, so I'm gonna send it; probably Monday. I need to send a box back to BossFight, too.

The new Mega Spitters are decent stand-ins for Sectaurs' companion bugs, imho. The imprinted code in the rear bottom right says 350993TC. Per the instructions sheet the traditional last two digits let you know which one is inside.

They definitely seem to fit the aesthetic of the Sectaurs theme.

In fact I think the older Mega (Bloks) Dragons line might have some smaller creatures that do as well. It might be worth checking out.

Cyst-Sucker is a bash of a new MegaConstrux Spitter figures bits onto an MTF pupper, for weirdness' sake. I have more Spitters, and now need more dogs.

Taking on a couple of the lamer Joes:

Ah, there we go:

I know you're showing us your V2 Bug alien but ..for some reason your custom Avalanche is really speaking to me at this moment. Nice job there.

With regard to your V2 Bug...how strong is the filament you're using ? Specifically the shoulder and elbow ball stems make me wonder...

Thanks! Avalanche's head is a custom I designed and printed.
As far as the durability, I'm printing in abs, so the plastic itself is as durable as the real thing. The weakness will be in the print delaminating or layers not bonding well enough. So far with prints like this, I've not had a problem with joints. In fact, I have something in the works I think you'll be really interested in...

That's the straight-up "LASER BLAST", son. Well done! You should try making some HeadMasters off that buck.

#swivelbiceps 8-O

I've been contemplating buying a FDM printer of some type recently as i've had some issues with my DLP printer project lately. Reading that the ABS filament is strong enough for micro ball joint use is pushing me closer towards purchasing a cheap FDM printer since the costs have come down in the last year.

So... how small can your printer make the ball joints ? You know why i'm asking lol.

Thanks, AV! Actually working on a couple of Masters (head and target) if I can get them to work out right.

Suntzu: that something in the works I mentioned? It has .5mm elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints. The ball is working well but I have to redo the socket -- it's too wide and won't stay snug.

Mark between you and this Solidworks podcast a fire has been officially lit. It's time to get back to work on my projector.

Very nice work on the MOTU vehicle. Being able to interact with a creation is one of the better feelings in life. I applaud your passion and desire to see the project come to fruition.
