#82 Ripcord

A 1984 mainstay, Ripcord is an example of GI Joe at its best.

I added a few more colors to the palette, but kept them appropriate for the character.

I drew the airmask and goggle as separate pieces for two reasons: to show Ripcord's face, and to make it easy to recycle the drawing (with some changes) for a few other characters. Here's a hint- you might even notice that the uniform looks like it's a hybrid with Airborne's uniform.

This one really works well in your style for some reason, can't even say why. It's a design I've always found a little bland or boring but this makes Ripcord look pretty awesome.

The figure looked odd for two big reasons:
1. Most of the parachute was a removable item, but the straps on the waist weren't.
2. The sculpting on the uniform was a bit bigger and more billowy than previous figures, so it looked like camouflage pajamas with the parachute off.

On top of that, it needed a few more colors to punch things up a bit. Especially the visor on the air mask.

Glad you both liked it. Thanks!
