Another amazing custom. Love the work you did to it.

If someone had told me the words "Malekith" and "best" would ever appear that close to each other, in virtually any context, I never would have believed it. But thank you. Really glad you guys dig him. While the head was a ton of work, the rest was pretty straightforward and succeeds primarily because of the quality of Boss Fight's sculpts (this one was a Lance Steelblade, which now that I look at it really reads like an acting credit for an adult film)..

I've been setting aside pieces and making slow, incremental progress on Hela for a couple of weeks. Last night I finally had everything pieced together and some time to paint. So here she is:

That helmeted head represents one of the most frustrating individual parts I've ever tried to pull together. I'd ordered a cast from someone I never used before and, when that finally arrived, it was way too comic-inspired for what I was trying to do. So I ripped the antlers off it, chopped those up and grafted the pieces onto a RoC Baroness head. Then I used Green stuff for the details.

I guess the plus side of all that putzy effort was that I had more than one RoC Baroness head on hand and kind of wanted an unmasked version to reflect her initial appearance in Ragnarok:

Here's a rough recreation of perhaps the most important moment in that movie:

What do you guys think?

the horn work LOOKS like it was frustrating. Nicely done. But I have to say the likeness captured with the regular head takes the cake or me here

That was a pleasant surprise/side effect. As I was painting the dark rings under the eyes on the horned head I thought "wow, that kind'a looks like her face." When I dug up the spare and gave it the same treatment plus a darker wash on the hair, I was sold.

Now that I've got solid versions of most of the major characters from the MCU (except Captain Marvel - any good ideas for a base body out there?), I'm starting to scrape the sides of the barrel.

Baron Strucker was pretty underutilized despite a cool post-credit scene in Winter Soldier that got me psyched to see him in Age of Ultron. But his role in the opening sequence of that film was more comic relief than anything, and his final appearance was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it photo referencing off screen events.

Still, I wanted him in my collection:

Here's another straight on shot of him in his signature pose from Age of Ultron:

And, just for kicks, a What-If style shot of things that might have been if they'd portrayed him as more competent:

Thoughts?

another cool character i'm seeing for the first time. a great looking figure over all. only tiny crit, would be he looks a little long legged. maybe 1/8" taken out at the ankles or even "flat" feet swapped in.

Spot-on observation, 2Dark. Thank you.

I found some feet with a lower ankle and really dig the result:

so it occurred to me over the weekend that I'd gone to the trouble of making Strucker and didn't even have a movie Quicksilver. So I pieced one together yesterday and painted him in phases through this morning:

It's really hard to get a good look at his movie costume, so I'm sure the colors aren't perfect, but I kind'a dig the way he looks next to his sister:

And here he is making Cap feel old and slow:

What do you think?
