Thanks 2Dark.

Quicksilver and his sister, Scarlet Witch, have a pretty long comics history, but they were introduced kind of hastily in the second Avengers movie.

Of course I might have to redo this one if the WandaVision series on Disney+ introduces the Evan Peters version of the character from the X-Men films.

There are only a few things about the MCU that flat out bug me. The way they seem to waste villians (like my kids do toilet paper) is one of the worst.

Crossbones was such a great character - formidable, personally motivated and just beautifully designed - but he got all of ten minutes of screen time (not counting his pre-supervillain turn in Winter Soldier). Still, I wanted him in my collection:

This is mostly Joe parts at work, especially above the waist. The head was sculpted over an MU Bullseye base and the lower legs area bash of a Captain America movie figure and a Joe I can't recall. The fist pistons were made from accessory scraps.

I also made an unmasked head because I thought the RoC Mercer looked like the actor from the film:

What do you think?

that is very cool! i had to go look up the mcu crossbones, and the 6" version. you nailed the build with every little detail! your sculpted helmet is impressive. i think i have a couple cobra heads that would look just like the unpainted helmet. the unmasked head is perfect too.

the only thing i would do is a black wash over the mask and white cross, maybe a hard brush to muck it up in places.

Very cool, I like the way you built his gauntlets.

Great figure. The gauntlets look great.

The guy who played him would have been the perfect Punisher. I consider The Purge Anarchy to be the BEST Punisher movie ever made.

Thanks, guys.

I think black-washing the helmet and chest emblem is a great call. Maybe that will smooth out some of what photographs like chunkiness on the face paint (it's actually very smooth).

I'm not 100% sold on the helmeted head. I feel like it's just a touch too small. I've got a black full-face mask from Marauder somewhere. I might try painting that up to see how that looks.

this is the head/helmet i was talking about, but it might be too small also.

Finally! A good use for those ninja shish kabob skewers. :D This is perfect. Great selection of parts on him.

Thanks again for the comments on Crossbones.

I seem to have been in Captain America movie mode in the lead-up to the 4th. After rewatching Winter Soldier again on the 3rd, I decided I really needed a more movie accurate version of first-appearance Falcon:

This is basically all Joe parts except the head, wings (which were painstakingly grafted onto the arms) and hands. Unlike many of the other MCU characters, whose evolving looks seemed to get better in subsequent installments, i feel like Falcon peaked early. Here he is with the factory Falcon from the Civil War era for comparison:

And lastly, an in-flight shot:

i think he looks great and blows away that factory figure. your in flight picture is really well posed!

Now that's a version of Falcon I would have bought in the store. Excellent work. I can't quite place the joe parts though. Parts list?

The head was an alternate from the Factory Civil War Falcon pictured. Shoulders, hands and wings were from another Hasbro Falcon figure that came out in an Age of Ultron 2-pack. The rest is Joe:

*biceps/lower arms from Renegades Ripcord
*upper/lower torso from Rise of Cobra Hawk
*upper legs from Retaliation Firefly
*lower legs from Amazon exclusive Retaliation Roadblock

The pistol holsters and pouch were cut off other Joe figures, mostly from the last round of anniversary packs.
