here is where i was with crocmaster last night.

really liking it, except the leg gaiters (yea i know) made some posing with his feet goofy looking. it took a long time to get the back peg/pack tank holder settled. lego bionical piece is perfect!


the smaller tanks from CC are really nice.


so today i cut them at the boot and went to it. i still need to do more cutting/burning but i'm digging him.


now he can have full foot movement,

in a lot of ways he's looking like a baseball catcher to me with the leg,chest, and mask i've always planned on leaving the top of his head exposed skull. in my verse he was burnt badly and thought drowned. probably an oil rig but i'm not sure if he was working it or there to blow it up. maybe they took some of his swamp or did his family wrong. the tanks are more than "air" and he will die without them, even on land.

not much time today. i did shave the feet from the bottom to thin them. it was the easiest way instead of taking the dino skin off and trying to thin it more. it might not make a ton of difference and wouldn't work on a less ragged custom! i also found some metal bits to add on the backpack.

Those Neo Viper armors are quite useful.when I make Orcs, but I ran out years ago.

thanks pluv! he was a wip i see almost every day in my reptile room (also still a wip). i had no idea what i was going to do with him. i actually tried painting his boots with the glass paint i just used on drax. it was a mess and i couldn't get a reptile looking pattern. i was about to skin a gator until i remembered keeping some dino bodies from my trophy wall.....that's a wip too....

i don't know how it has been so long since i posted updates, time is flying by. i have been working/painting a lot. i'm not 100% happy with either of these, but these are the best pics out of a couple hundred.......

first up is my crocmaster. 4 yrs in the making i was hoping to be thinking of him as the "best" version i've seen, but honestly he's not. i'm not sure what to change or if it won't just be a start over at some point.

i WAS loving dr death until i started editing my pics. the face paint was a challenge and after several redo's i'm still not happy. i used hot glue for the beard and maybe i should of just painted it. at one point i had more grey highlight/shadows. i still dig the rest of him a lot so i'm considering a total different head sculpt.

the banner i made is meh and will def. be remade.

my stand in jacob is a zombie lab head and the bnb hands from my "thriller destro" on a avatar base. bf feet, terminator forearms, and the coat from my jason custom (i got a new one for my in progress jason). his sleeves are heatshrink.
