The figure was a head-to-toe repaint of Thunder, probably because Thunder was dead in Marvel continuity and there hadn't been any kind of reset in 1998. Except for the milky skin and wrong hair color, Thunderwing would have been an acceptable Thunder.

To interpret Thunderwing as a unique character, I kept the chest design and threw out everything else.

Very cool. I really enjoy the various ways people try to "correct" character continuity like this. Just a nudge to make things a little more distinct. Part of what I loved about Vanishing Point's Sigma Six stuff, too.

another great pose. the goggles look most impressive. it is so hard to draw in clear objects and sell it, you nailed it! the tie die backdrop is different, not bad though. it sure puts my focus right on him.

Thanks, guys.

Converting lazy head-to-toe repaints is a fun challenge, for customs and artwork alike. Oh, Chameleon and Double Blast, why do you exist?

The trick with visors/lenses is to color the figure like they aren't there at first. Then, I go back and give the visor/lens its own layer of color and then another layer of reflective light over that.
