this was a wip to go along with my first go at the snake eyes contest. i looked all over for a robo-dog and ended up ordering a flash drive that transformed like the old cassette tf toys. it was way too big for what i needed so i tore it apart :)

i used the legs for T.I.M.B.R. = tactical intercept mobile battle robot (wip name too)

it never really got where i was happy with it in drone mode. i had more dog like head and tail at one point. even as a kid i had trouble with complicated tf toys.

my latest face huggers!
Image

4 new w/4 from my first batch(top). same exact painting steps, but i must of used a more watered down wash. i like them both ways.
Image

and the chest bursters! the 2 sets of 4 are mirrored instead of exact copies which is cool! one set has an extra yellow wash, but all look very similar.

i have to sell some before i can order more...is the deal i made myself......

also i just finished up 3 eggs to try and sell too! choco surprise eggs (a bit larger) and mounted on scavenged disney infinity bases.

as you can see i went much darker on my wash. i also went less splotchy on the "lips?" of the eggs.
Image

i hope size is still ok for 1:18
Image

each egg will come in a clear display box

i'm having trouble deciding on just how to sell them. in the beginning i was thinking 1 egg and 2 huggers for $25 shipped. now i'm thinking i'll list eggs in one sale and huggers in another. i have clear boxes coming that i hope will fit each type hugger and burster so that will decide for me i guess. i know customizers won't be my customer, but i'd appreciate thoughts from you guys on this.

How Destro can be still alive next to all these specimen is beyond me. I really like what you did with T.I.M.B.E.R. Very, very unique. Glad you also managed to capture the scale. The other mut is one of those MTF ones right?

i think there are a few types. mine started looking like this.

yes marauder k9! they are the best animal accessory i've messed with! this husky one makes me sad about our old husky, BAD DOG.

i was pissed when my wife brought him home after i said no. his name was already bad dog lol super smart, and always tearing stuff up. someone paid $700 for him as a puppy. they lived in town and he kept getting out of their yard so they chained him up. an escape artist he still escaped the chain/leaders they tried. my step son took him for free, he also lived in town. well a city actually. baddog continued to escape, and do things like open the back door and jump in their car and refuse to get out lol
so my wife brought him here. i don't know why anyone would buy a husky in this miserably hot climate. at the time i was cycling every day and he went with me every day. he eventually won me over, but he still did bad stuff :) he loved deer season because hunters here dump carcasses all around. he stole my wifes cousins trophy deer head he wanted to mount lol ate it's whole snout off. he also ate a whole bucket of fish my late fil was about to clean.
after a few yrs someone shot him in the hindquarter. probably for harassing livestock which i saw him do. like pulling on a horses tail for fun or causing a cow stampede, no joke i witnessed it. he healed up but had a weird gate when he ran. soon after the dr told me no more bike riding, and baddog never understood. it was a hard time. then one day he was just gone.
he ran free here, most every ones dogs do. so i am glad he got a life off the chain . kind of like call of the wild. someone told my wife they saw him with coyotes running at night. i believe it as i saw him chase some while i was riding one day. his prey response was stronger than any dog i ever saw. if it ran he chased it. one day he was in the yard "playing" with a dead red fox. i think he killed every barn cat around.
wow what a long story ! baddog was a red/white husky and i consider painting this one to match. it would probably make my wife sad to see it though.

i'm not sure why i started using that destro for size comparison on my pics, but i use it every time now. maybe because i had 2 of them and never cared for the color of this one. destro is my favorite joe character though.

I like the story. It was long but quite interesting. I got to know Baddog more out of it. Now I want to see the red/white husky colours on the new robo dog even more. BadDog is an adventurer. Honour the adventurer!

thanks! our new dog is roscoe a "dumb hillbilly dog"! he's a sweet dog, but gets lost in a dark room lol i wish i had named him scooby because he is scared of everything and only wants to eat. i believe he is a brindle mountain cur which is made up of a bunch of other breeds aka mutt.

couple more short fellas for my fantasy verse.
Image
i'm thinking some horns on him, and maybe a fur vest.
Image
this guy was made for this extra bow from my SE contest figure. i made several before i got one i liked and "fit". this one is exactly the same just bigger.
Image
having hands with good articulation is a must to get the bow angled correct.

i wanted to get a shot of my dark wizard with his 40's ish noir verse incarnation.
Image

seeing tims predator based female snake eyes got me thinking about my long running predator plans. i got the legs i used on her in the same lot, but not assembled together. i was going to use the elf's waist and upper legs from the archer above. that would of given here way better articulation ,but way shorter. as you can see the reaction heads are really big so i went tall. she is made with the torso from that elf's? waist.
Image
i just put that unmasked head on my planned base figure. looks like i need to lower it some. they are huge.
Image
so the torso was under armor and had no definition, but it was the perfect neck and length. i was going to use the last bit of sculpt i have to fill in the boss fight armor, then decided to just hot glue it to see how it would fit. as you can see i ended up filling in the armor with hot glue. i think it will hold up since the black glue sticks are really rubbery.
Image
Image
Image
i don't know what the legs and waist are from, but probably starwars. i'm guessing the elf torso was lotr. lady thor arms and shanna loin cloth. i like the look of the cobra commander swords d guard in her sheath, but the blade isn't very good. the reaction head is modded by cutting away some tentacles and pinning and gluing on some pieces from a potc jack sparrows hair. that bladed spear was one of the last batch i made before i lost my job. i did the wire wrap and heatshrink handle for my phantom originally.

eta: i do plan on doing something for some ab definition on her. i don't know what yet.

Awesome! I can't wait for you to paint them! Of the lot, I like the 40s era wizard, female pred, and archer the most! Your dark wizard's cloak is from a Doctor Strange fig? Also, I like his dagger. Is that what he uses to channel his spells or basic defense?

thanks 8bitboy!
the wizards cape is from a darth bane figure. it was the reason i bought the lot of figures it came in, but it took me a long time to settle on a body. the dagger came in a lot of boss fight parts. i really prefer my own custom steel for my fantasy figures, but this dagger is about the best plastic "toy" knife i have seen. i'd wager you could do major damage with it. i have his altar (shown earlier) painted up , and the dagger will be for general sacrifice duty,

I like those Predators! I have one in progress using that same Thor ice giant body. I also have a Machiko in Predator gear that's been idle for way to long.

More amazing work. Your eye for parts is second to none. You're always building cool stuff.

thanks sgcaper! i really appreciate it. i tried a half dozen combos on the she pred before making the lean one work.

i got so many great parts from you, drb, spec, and so many others when i first got started i am still using them. knowing that one day i'd have to quit working got me squirreling a lot of projects away. i could probably stop buying anything and stay busy for a few yrs :)
