Saw what looked like all the first release stuff at Target-minus the vehicles. Grabbed the single card Marine, the white Spartan, and the pilot.

Sweet! Would love to see them next to some Joes/BFS/MTF/whatever to get a sense of how close they are to actual scale.

Some comparison shots with other lines. Kinda disappointed in the pilot as his arms cant go further down his sides or hold a decent 2-handed rifle pose.

This doesn't really help with scale, but the Brute remind me of the wandering Negative Zone aliens from FF 253 that had psychologically adapted to living aboard their generational ship permanently.

Grabbed a Brute, Jackal, and the Warthog today. I've got a couple of die-cast Jada Toys "1/18" Warthogs that I love and that fit my Joes perfectly, but figured for $30, I'd give it a shot (could always paint it black and make it a Cobra Stinger if nothing else.)

Overall, not bad. Definitely smaller than the Jada one, but surprisingly well-scaled for Joes (in this case, MTF Joes) -- the seats are nice & deep so that Master Chief fits quite well while still being pretty much spot-on scale-wise.

Master Chief needs a LOT of work, IMO, but he seems to be the right size -- although his torso & arms are almost the exact same length as the MTF figs - he works in a pinch. Maybe I'll bash him onto one of the 5" scale figs I have buried around here to even him out.



But yeah - pretty great for Joes. Debating just making mine a VAMP MK XXVII or something.

Yeah, that's one of my dislikes of MC: he's kinda puny across the chest and arms. He's scaled way too leg-heavy, imho.

Ooh - I was hoping we'd see the Ghosts at retail. Wish it was purple, but will start the hunt. Anyone heard of these showing up at Target along with the others?
