i haven't felt much like creating, but i did clear my workspace and put my dragons together.my wife made me 2 wooden "step" pieces years ago for figure display. i got the base dragons for the dragon queens riders from spec and was able to build a 3 mount squad. not quite army building, but with their size 3 is enough! they are static with 2 soaring and one in full flap.my wild born dragon is a t-rex with wing, tail, and leg articulation.an there is another t-rex as background with just one spare wing.
Image
with riders pre hot glue
Image
all glued up
Image
i'll need a bigger backdrop when it comes time for final pics. i'll probablt try and paint the steps as ruins or sandstone.
Image
the dragon queens personal dragon and the mother of her mounts. the helmet is from the golden compass.
Image
these two skull/helmets fit on the dq mounts, i'm not sure if i'll use them though.
Image
these two relics turned out really good. surtur skull staff inspired by alleyviperelite iirc. the steppinwolf helm was cut up then pinned/glued back together, also it is glued on the skull now.

Image
i also worked on my riders a bit. the blue/white dragon knight was dropped for another black clad metal head. spikor? i dressed the beast up a bit with a one piece that borat would approve of, plus boots wit da fur :)
Image
Image
the thief antihero wildborn dragon rider is sporting il native arms now. i hated the one yellow effect arm and broke it off, then decided to try these.

hopefully i feel more like getting into something deeper soon. just kind of scattered right now.

those native arms work perfect for what you're going for. Dig the set-up. I get the lack of inspiration, but it doesn't show from any of your work

i wanted to put this pic in the "what i got today" thred but as the days ticked by and i didn't get a chance i'll just put it here. spec hooked me up and i got these 3 for less than one on ebay!
Image
they are on the small side next to mtf and modern large figures, but everyone shouldn't be 6'7" and built like the rock :)

i went right to them and here is where i am at.
Image
jim gordon-arms mib stalk eyes, head wild bill, hands?, upper legs/waist IJ belloq?, lower legs/boots?
i had some smaller hands that were perfect, but neither could hold any guns.
Image
Image

rick deckard - ij head, mib stalk eyes arms, hands?, waist/legs ij, feet modern joe
i realize he will need a lot of paint.
Image
Image
Image

calling this brute harry heart aka- angel heart.(that might change if i find a better character)
head?, mib stalk eyes arms, ? gloved hands, ij waist/legs, modern CC shoes
Image
Image
Image

with destro for scale
Image
with storm cloud who got his cuffs shortened.
Image
with some other characters i have going in this timeline. i'm trying some different more realistic heads on my "revinuer".
Image
i cut and hollowed the corpse head to still use the hat.still looks a a bit big.
Image
with my wip "hit man" is soo big i might totally redo him. i wanted a leon/the professional type build.

thanks sgcaper! it truly means a lot to hear!

i was planning to make a dick tracy with one of these, but i'll hold out for a longer coated figure. if i did make dick with this torso then the jw grant with hat was the best i had. then i was thinking another of the cold slither CC and add firefly, but i wasn't feeling it. i tried 2 dozen heads and these all were the best match. i cut the neck ball into posts for harry and jim. decker was about perfect w/just some light dremel to the head.

I love the detective-type guys. And there's not enough Blade Runner figures!!! There is a nice version of his gun available through Angel Forge, and there's also a LEGO version, but it's a little on the small side.

Nice use of the those Nick Valentines!
Are those arms from that MIB alien?

Also.... any chance you don't need the laser pistols that came with those guys?

thanks! yes mib 3 stalk eyes. i split them with spec and all he wanted was the pistols.

ETA the arms match the color better in pics than in hand. i'm hoping a wash will pull them together.

i had messed this playmobile rifle up trying to "decorate" it for my SE custom. i salvaged it as a mares leg with snakeskin wrapped forearm. it is the perfect "choot 'em" boat gun.

Love everything about this, especially that shaved down gun. That face mask still looks very Vader, obviously, but I think it gets a pass based on how great everything works together.
