keep, mostly keep. every time i try to sell custom made items has been a bust for the most part. i sold some metal items here on jc with success, and made a few commissioned as well. i never really "made money" but it was fun. now i'm not set up for metal work so that was it. you will continue to see metal blades with my customs because i made more back then (almost 2yrs ago!) than i had figures to wield them.

i only started listing some custom stuff on ebay last year before they changed their pay policy. even then i mostly sold junk or headswap army builder lots, while my custom pieces sat.

one huge thing is i "think" my customs are worth more than john-q public. it's art for me and that's ok.

I believe your customs are worth a good deal. They're quite well done and very consistent.

i appreciate it bud! even with other art i always make my best stuff when i'm not trying to make anything specific. i like art for arts sake and go wherever it takes me. if i sat down and try to draw a 1980's gi joe, it would be a trainwreck! if i'm doodling and happen to draw a set of eyes that look like destro i can make it into something i really get excited about.

my biggest problem in art, life?, is i always was just good enough to defy instruction. i was the kid in art class who would take an F instead of draw fruit in a bowl. my stepdaughter has great natural talent like my wife, but my daughter went to college and took to instruction. now she is way better than us both in composition and technique.
