Most of what I’ve been working on lately is Gundam kits and my n-scale trains, since my son has been doing a lot of related projects. This weekend, while in Vegas, we stopped in a Japanese model shop and I came across these “30 Minutes Missions” kits. I haven’t had much time to find out more about them yet, but it sounds like it’s a new line from Bandai.

I grabbed one because it looked like it could be used in as a generic soldier. Now that it’s built, I think it would be a great base for either a Super BAT or some sort of exo suit. The neck ball is too small and short for a GI Joe head, but it would be a simple 3D print to fix that.

Now, to order me a few more of these guys, but I’ll probably keep using them with the Gundam stuff with my kid.

I grabbed a couple back at the beginning of the pandemic, just to try them out and now I have all of these released so far and they are stupid fun. I have no interest in Gundams but these generic mechs are a blast. The assembly is really easy even if you've never built anything like this before. The sprues are laid out in order of assembly so you don't have to go back and forth between different sprues. And the base joints are all the same between the 4 different models so there is a lot of interchangeability and customization potential. Lots of add-on armor parts and weapon sets available too. For $15 you can't get any better bang for your buck in my opinion.

I also grabbed one a few months...*checks records* uh, last April. I got a bunch of the add on kits thinking even if I didn't like them for the suit it was still cheap enough fodder. And of course I love all of them.
