You... yyyooooouuuu... wow. I'm officially floored. Your projects are the stuff of 80s dreams... what tools do you use to sculpt so well?

Thanks. Mongor was only in one episode, but I couldn't not make a demonic goat monster carrying a scythe. Lol.

I'm really trying to make this the definitive 80s action figure project in the 4 inch scale. It's been a labor of love so far.

I'm still working really hard on my sculpting, but I do think I've improved over the last year or so and then I have moments where I think my sculpts look horrible. I have one of those "dental" sets from Hobby Lobby and a silicone tipped sculpting brushes that I use. A lot of the time I just use an xacto knife to do most of it.

Glad you're liking the customs.

it looks like you use green stuff. i really need to try it. i'm not very happy with fixxit. best suggestion besides mix 1/2 of what you need is baby oil gel. it keeps the tool or your fingers from sticking to the sculpt. my fixxit is very old so i am trying to use it up, but then i'm trying something else. i remember milliput being better, but it was so long ago and i was just learning so that might not hold true.

Yeah, I use greenstuff. I've tried other stuff and I always come back to it. I just keep a glass of water and deep my fingers in constantly works pretty good.

thanks for the sculpting and WIP pics. Really appreciate this thread, and seeing the before and after really amplifies the project.

Thank you! I've admired your work for a long time so hearing that you like my customs means a lot.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

This was a strange toy line in the 80s. The toys that were made had none of the main characters from the cartoon. Saw Boss got a figure, but it was his machine form and not how we saw him in the cartoon most of the time.

The second wave was supposed to have Jayce and other main characters, but the toy line never made it past wave one.

One of my absolute favorite cartoons as a kid was Defenders of the Earth. It took several heroes that had existed mainly in comic strips before and combined them into a super team to battle Ming the Merciless.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was okay. I'm a huge fan of the Defenders of the Earth. Jayce is on YouTube not sure about the Defenders though. Both are worth checking out for a couple of episodes anyway.

One of my absolute favorite cartoons growing up was Bionic 6. The toys weren't all that great and didn't really look like their cartoon appearances, but they did make all of the main characters. Unfortunately I don't own any of the vintage figures currently.

FLUFFI is just a repaint of the vintage figure to be cartoon accurate.

Absolutely loved Defenders of Earth and Bionic 6.
Any chance of doing Rick, LJ, Jedda, Kshin, Prince Kro-Tan, & Princess Castra aka the next gen?
