Depth Charge is an LBC with Marauders Low Light head on a 50th Shipwreck body. He’s been on my workbench being used as a guinea pig, which made him perfect to field test the Devastator hydro bullet rifle.

dryhawk showed off the unproduced prototype Devastator squirt gun on Facebook. It is gorgeous. A perfect blend of real world and sci fi with a ton of 90’s design elements. I have to imagine it never saw the light of day over engineering costs and that it was inferior to a Super Soaker in a fire fight.

The custom of the rifle, I really wanted it to shoot water. So I started looking at Eco Force squirters and quickly decided to just build the gun based on shape and then figure out how to run a hose through it. Luckily, I found PoC arctic Destro’s gun a) had the perfect muzzle, b) the perfect hand grip with guard, and c) IS A SQUIRT GUN!!!!

A Fortnite XM177 donated the carrying handle and top hand guard for the barrel. Retaliation Rockblock’s gunkata launcher bits made for a functional clip using Marauder Inc shotgun shells for the water cartridges. A Marauder Inc M-60e3 buttstock was used partially for shape, but mostly because I needed to run the water hose through it.

A bit about the photoshoot. I already knew it was going to be hot and that the plastic figures would get all soft during the shoot. What I didn’t know is that it was going to literally be the hottest day of the year here with a heat index of 110 with 90% humidity. My phone kept overheating. Then the ripples of the water kept knocking figures over. Who ever thought it was a good idea to shoot on water on top of a black wake board is an idiot. :shifty:
