Finished this Ripley custom. Made from a HALO Dr.Halsey....can't for the life of me remember where the arms came from. The head is from a female HALO sniper.

I didn't know if we would ever see one to go with the Queen that came out last year, so I just went ahead and made my own. Of course now that I've done this, they'll probably end up making one by years end.

I'm in the same boat regarding having to custom build my own figure. I've purposely stopped buying Mega despite it still being in my top 2 toy lines because Mattel wasn't making anything I personally became terribly excited about after He-Man and Skeletor. I wanted to wait until they did to jump back in the line.

The way things have gone with regard to distribution, character selection , new I.P.s and release dates though ....I don't see any reason to jump back into the Mega line arriving for at least another year or 2 if at all. I'm not willing to wait a year or longer so I'll be making what I want myself. I honestly thought I wouldn't need to do this as we were really in the golden age of toys.

that paint job is impressive. she looks like a larger scale custom except the hands. now you need swap in bare legs

Yeah, the hands do stand out pretty badly from the arms. And I do have new arms for her that have matching hands, but then they won't match the color of the head, which would mean I'd need to repaint it to match....I just don't feel like doing that right now.

And why the bare legs? Unless I did an ALIEN version of her near the end when she's in her tighty whities.

the hands standing out are because the toy line not your customizing. i guess if the line had realistic hands then they would lose playability;

To be honest, the hands standing out ARE because of me. Both the arms and the head/face were different colors so I tried to paint them to match. I *thought* the this new paint would match the hands, but once it dried, that wasn't the case.

Awesome. Manny is probably my favorite figure in the line. They did such a good job on him.

I was amazed they did him with a regular MotU torso. I had assumed they'd need some new-fangled engineering to get the tri-faces spinning but nope, they just worked with what they had with efficiency. I'm mildly perturbed Roboto doesn't have storage for his 3 arm options while TrapJaw does have storage for his 4 arm options, but Roboto's spare will plug into the socket holes in the fig-stand.

Confirmed on Instagram that this is the last of the MCX Heroes waves BUT that more MOTU is coming next year with details coming next month.
