yup thats a lot! i have only mod the upper, then add an existing well articulated lower. i have a baggy with taken out pins, but i have been using only old plastic sprue for pins and melting my own "rivet" on the ends.

That sounds interesting. I would actually like to hear more about that process as pegs are hard to come by.

I missed the whole Robotech thing, but I remember my younger brother had a lot of the M.A.S.K. stuff ad I was impressed with the converting vehicles and mountain playset.

I actually remember most of the characters you've done here and the likeesses feel dead on.

Thanks. Honestly, I wasn't that into Robotech as a kid and didn't have the toys in the 80s but these looked so good minus the lack of elbow articulation that I couldn't pass on them.

MASK I loved as a kid and had lots of the toys.

If you are an 80s kid then you know it was the greatest time to be a kid and it is mostly due to Reagan deregulating children's programming allowing for what became basically 30 minute toy commercials disguised as cartoons and it was glorious!

Once I had the Reagan head sculpt I knew this picture had to be taken with all the customs that are part of my 80s project.

Thanks! That was extremely informative. I love learning new customizing tricks like that.

This is one of my favorite cocktail party factoids ("Did you know infomercials and toy-based cartoons were both the result of the same Reagan-era deregulation?") and now I'm wondering if Billy Mays and Ron Popeil will be joining the crew any time soon.

Awesome work, as always!

I did not know that about infomercials but that explains their explosion on tv during the 80s.

One of my all-time favorite movies not only from the 80s but ever was Lethal Weapon, so I knew I wanted to add these two to the project.
