Hi All,

Long time lurker. Moved to post today bc my Heavy Inf Mando at Target was...$36. Wut.

It's not so much the cost, though I do find it excessive. It's my general frustration with the hobby. RN, I grab a few pieces a week off amazon or ebay and I find it hard to find quality, consistently executed figures.

For me the Halo stuff is hit and miss. The Star Wars TVC is too and is hard to find here on the EC. Joy Toy is awesome, but some sets are way better than others. They took my COD Mega Construx away-ish, damn their oily hides. Not a huge Marvel Legends guy.

I guess my question is, what's your best suggestion for quality figures in the mostly but not limited to1/18 scale between 10-30 per piece? Do they exist?

Thanks in advance.

Bossfight and Dime Novel Legends--that's about $20-30

Marauders base figures are still such a great deal.

I second the Maruaders statement. Go ahead and get a few of the fully geared figures and play around with the modular design of the figures and accessories. Pretty soon you'll have a good idea of their offerings and you can get the colors and parts you want to make your own figures. Create characters and backstory or use their "Geared Up" versions to update the joe ranks. Great figures and everything ships in plastic baggies so there is no overhead for plastic bubbles and cardboard backs.

Also check out Animal Warriors of the Kingdom from Spero Toys. He's focused on transitioning to the 6 inch line but Roma Collectibles carried the line and may still have some 4 inch stuff available. Fun figures and storyline of cat people and monkey people, think Thundercats but a little less Sci Fi. Jason has a comic to go along with it to get the full back story.

1/60 scale = Diaclone Reboot Dianauts (for now). Buy a figure pack and marvel at how everything around you becomes an accessory or vehicle. You'll be forced to customize and create.

1/3x scale = Mega Construx. My former favorite figure line. It still packs loads of value and you can find fodder cheap online and in stores often.

1/18 = ..................... with regard to figures that can be purchased in brick and mortar locations only...yikes.....it's a wasteland out there.
If you're a customizer .... i guess......Fortnite figures (?). I have zero interest in the line but people seem to love them and i don't think they've reached insane prices yet. They do have a fair amount of part variety. By default i suppose the Spin Master DC 4'' line is ...something.... at $10.

Final Faction is *my* 1/18 choice but i'm under no illusion that it's on par with some highly articulated figure lines when comparing figures side by side. It's an old school customizers line 100% though.

I will second Final Faction as a really fun line to customize with. Plus for $1.25 a pop Iā€™m willing to try new techniques
