I am undecided as to what to get.

I would love for them to offer a stretch goal or an option for a 6 pack squad of the GRU Spetsnaz Trooper and a 6 pack sqaud of the Tracksuit Henchmen.

That would really tip the scales.

They look really good and I'm thinking about it but I'm sorry I have to say I hate having to add in the shipping and do math to figure out what I want and I hate "surprise goals" that I think is pretty anti-consumer just like "blind boxes". I mean, I understand charging for shipping but modern consumers are used to shipping BAKED INTO THE COST. One figure is $32 after shipping to a US address. A 6-pack comes out to about $26 each. The all in? Who knows? I really do not like non-transparent pricing. I want to know, up-front what i will be paying and what my options are. If there are "mystery" stretch goals then that's fine but the fundamentals should be rock solid and obvious. I would rather see the creators throw out a dozen stretch goals that might not be realized than to have them say it's just a mystery. So because of all that I'll wait and see. I love the look, I love the idea but I don't like the way the structure of pricing has been handled if that makes sense. For the Marauder kickstarter I knew from the get-go I was Mayhem (1st) because I was getting 50 figures for about 22 each + all unlocked stretch goals and free shipping. It was a no-brainer. This one, I'm still considering. Actually having some stretch goals ready and putting landed final cost on each pledge level would have gone a long way to making me pledge day one.

I get it, but at the same time, lfuid shipping rates has hurt every action figure kickstarter. All them said rates that changed from the KS planning stages to the time the toys actually shipped were unexpected costs that cut into any kind of profits they might have had. So yeah, not including a standard shipping into the price makes it harder for me, but easier for them and better for everyone in the long run.

Anyway, unlocked Ghost stratch goal.

I saw this on Instagram earlier today and someone called the Soviet Ninja a "weird concept". I responded that it was a mash up of 80's villain concepts and said the following:

Quote:
Dude! Evil Russians?

Nah, Dude. Evil Russian...NINJAS!

DUUUDE!

and IG removed my comment for violation of community standards. :shifty:

If the Ninja gets unlocked, or gets close to being unlocked, I might go in for the 24 figures.

Need at least a 6 pack of the Spentsnaz troops and 6 Ninjas.

Another Lonbow unlock that in no way is reminiscent of any UK unproduced subteam from the 80's.

I backed it, eventho I’m not really collecting new or old o ring I had to support plus to have the swivel wrist in hand. If it’s a Joebro that tries to make something I have to support. As they have supported me over the years. I can’t always go all in but a 6 pack is the least I do. The Vietnam one tho, hit my wallet hard.

I had planned to follow this as it ended, but somehow got Shanghaied into working on my day off.

Might get the 24 figure option (the 9 unlocked so far, plus another 1x of the first three, then 12 of the Spetsnaz trooper).

Then add another 6 pack to get 6x more of the trooper in white.
=#FF0000]I went for 12 more figures so I could be 3x more of the Outlaw character and 3x more of the Maruader Trooper.[/color]

If the tracksuit guy and the ninja get unlocked, that will throw off my numbers...

EDIT:

I plan to get:
2x Lancer
2x Uptown
2x Volk (one to c
13x Spetsnaz Trooper
7x Adapt Trooper (Research)
1x Ghost (Upgraded)
4x Outlaw
4x Marauder Trooper
1x Steel Web Shock Trooper

Will keep one figure of each as is, the rest may get altered headswap, paint apps, etc).

I pledge for 12 figs. Lancer, Uptown and Marauder trooper are my best so far.

I'm assuming Maurauder is a member here. Can we contact him?

Well, you'd probably get a quicker response contacting Marauder through their webstore - info@marauderinc.com

But also, this isn't a Marauder project. This is a Grindstone Toys kickstarter and they have their own contact info for this project contact@cslongbow.com. They worked with Marauder in conjunction with one figure out of the dozen or so that were offered or unlocked. It was done in the same way that the Skeletron Kickstarter worked with Grindstone Toys to offer an oring figures in their kickstarter. Just a way for these small start ups to help one another since everybody knows everybody.

Some of these look very nice, my best wishes for this project. The purple troopers, the tracksuit henchman and the russian ninja are my favourites.

Backerkit emails went out yesterday. A new 11th figure was added, the Krasny-Ninja.
